There's a couple I follow on Instagram, an artist (cartoon artist) and her husband and they recently had a baby. The husband is being a HVM and taking care of his own child as he's supposed to do, they're taking parts on taking care of the baby and the housework and her work and everything (They said this, I would like to assume it's true because she always seems genuinely happy in her posts).

Now that's not the issue, the couple are fine, the issue is with the audience, their followers mostly women/couples have been repeating for the past month that the husband is a hero for doing this, literally being a father for his own child. Everytime he posts about feeding his baby or that he's learning new tips on how to care for a new born and he shares his experience for others to learn, they praise him for being this incredible amazing human being.

Now I get it, he's being a good parent by taking care of his kid because some parents don't even do the bare minimum, but that's HIS JOB. He's participating in his marriage and parenting as he should be doing and as every other men should be doing. Would anyone be calling the wife a hero for doing the exact same things? No, because it's her job. Why is the man being treated like fucking Iron Man saving the galaxy just because he's doing his job as a father.
