Look if they were quality women, they wouldn't need dating apps. They would get approached by guys or introduced or hit up on social media. Dating apps still (dating sites in the past) are mostly for ppl who are single and lonely.

Bro here’s the thing, my experience has been the exact same as you.

But:

I brought it up to a buddy of mine who was in town recently when I caught him swiping on hinge. Now, my buddy is an absolute meatstick- just a total human muscle- and works a pretty good job in finance. He’s a bit socially retarded, but lovable enough and more importantly for this story: photogenic.

Me- “Man the chicks on hinge honestly aren’t very hot, such a waste.”

Buddy- “I don’t know it’s been pretty good for me. See?”

Buddy hands me his phone... the majority of the women in his feed and matches are gorgeous. Blonde knockouts that simply are not appearing in my app.

In my case, I pretty much deleted hinge the next morning and decided to double down on my own improvement grind lol.

British guy here. It’s exactly the same this side of the pond. Hinge is much worse than tinder in terms of female looks. My theory is that if girls can’t get matches on tinder they move to the smaller dating apps so those small apps become filled with trash.

Yes, your location is part of the problem. There are more fat people in the southern US. But dating apps as a whole are pretty shit for men no matter where you are.

I’d say if you’re a top 5-10% looks, then dating apps could work decently for you. But even then it’s pretty shit. So many single moms on tinder that it’s actually depressing. Hinge and Bumble are not much better in my personal experience.

In person is the way to go if you can. Dating apps can be a supplement at best. If you rely on them, get ready for long dry spells and fucking girls that are well below your SMV.

This is coming from a black guy living in the south US who has fucked ~25 girls from tinder. In the past 2.5 years.

Delete those dating apps and try and meet some women at church, the library, or local Meetup groups for active, outdoor people.

Remember if you’re less than an 8, for men in online dating that may as well be a 2. Is the app just presenting women at your level?

It's pretty much always been this way. People who use dating apps do so because they find it hard or otherwise unable to meet people in real life. The hot, attractive women out there are not on dating apps as they're being hit on at work, at the mall, at the grocery store, at the gym, etc. They don't need a dating app.

Get Tinder. It’s ideal in big cities and college towns. Tinder Gold is clutch. You sign up and can just pick whoever already liked you. It makes approaching convos much easier.

Also, after visiting Atlanta many times there was no shortage of attractive women at the bars and clubs I went to. I’d say just go out more. You’re lucky to be in a city that’s lowered most of its restrictions.

Eh, on tinder every girl I see tends to be an 8+. It’s actually annoying because these girls tend to be prestige asf. I think it’s just the way the algorithm works. It either shows you all the ugly/unpopular ones or all the highest quality girls. Seems like there’s no in between.

Just depends on the app, and time of year. Most of the girls that are worth two shits are on temp lockdown from valentines day. Give it a few weeks and it will pick back up.

Also, they change what app they are on tinder is aging badly(plus lots of bots on it). You might give bubble, Facebook dating, hinge, or what ever the flavor of the month is right now a try.

If you only see unattractive profiles on dating apps, that mean your own profile is perceived as unattractive itself (either you give too much likes or you don't get many likes, or both). There is very attractive women on dating apps, that's just the algo won't show them to you.
