I feel majority of men here will be more inclined to think this is absolutely ridiculous, but every girl I've talked to about it feels the same way, so I figure it's worth talking about.

I want to clarify I know female and woman are synonyms and can be used interchangeably, pointing this out to me isn't going to add anything to the conversation, I'm specifically talking about men who call women females but don't call other men males, example :

Being around a man who will mix up refering to everyone else in the room as other people, men, boys, bros, homies/friends, or just by calling them by their names, it feels dehumanizing to be referred to as "that female" how can you expect girls to treat you with respect and kindness when your way of getting their attention is by yelling "hey female!" Across the room In front of your peers? Its humiliating it makes me feel like a dog, we have names we are not a separate lower species that isn't worthy of the same basic respect you give everyone else. And just cause you use a word that isn't straight up a slur doesn't mean it's less slimy, how would you feel if we called men men and referred to women as people?

((Exception being people involved with the army/military/etc. it's standard practice for them to call both men and women females and males)))
