I knew a woman once who became pregnant after a drunken fling with a fuckboy. He outright ditched her--wouldn't acknowledge the pregnancy in any way. Said he wanted zero responsibility. Didn't give a fuck about he name on the birth certificate. A few mutual friends said to her "Maybe you should just get an abortion?"

"No." She replied. "I'm in my mid 30's. This may be my only chance to have a child."

Now, she's a single mom, fucking miserable, can't handle being a single parent--too much work. The child suffers. She's suffering. Dumps the kid anywhere that will watch the child for a few hours.

She CHOSE this situation for herself, and all she does is complain when it turns out it's not a life of joy and glamour being a young, cool, mom with a toddler on her hip.

Sure, people can say "join social groups with other moms," but do you think these women have the bandwidth to take care of their respective families AND have bandwidth to spend time with any other person? If anything, those women are fighting tooth and nail for time to their damn selves - why would they expend energy on someone else??

Having said that, other than invent time travel and go back to that night before she conceived her child; there isn't anything she can do - except buy cats.

I've been single for 2 years due to grad school and full custody of my kids having to take priority over dating. I recognized the temporary sacrifice of a social life would pay dividends with my degree and helping me stay afloat financially.

Now I'm done with school, already enjoying my weekends again, and I never made a single "why is life so hard and miserable?" Post like some people do.

Ill admit felt that loneliness over the last few years and what did I do? I looked for ways to network that would surround me with decent people, I didn't use fucking tinder to stay sane lol. I joined the National Guard and started playing the Viola with the intention of eventually joining a string quartet just to goof off with.

Women pretend to be all boss bitch but they fall flat almost immediately without external validation.
