My first time posting on this sub. I am just so grateful to have found a community of women that I resonate with and aspire to be more like.

The more time I spend away from my soon to be ex husband, a LVM, all of the lies he ever told me over the 7 years (that I know of, I’m sure there are still lots of lies he told that I still don’t know of), are unravelling and I’m feeling particularly disturbed that I married someone under false pretenses. I was tricked and fooled into marrying someone because of all their self serving lies.

He lied about the women he talked to behind my back, including the escort services he solicited. He lied about his finances when we went to go buy our first home together (he didn’t have the down payment or credit he said he did). He lied about paying bills when he didn’t, he lied about where he was, who he was with and what he was doing. He lied when he had to, and he lied when he didn’t have to at all. He lied when he said he loved me and then put his hands on me. He lied when he said he hadn’t been drinking (and driving), even though he was.

My whole marriage was built on lies and the man I married was a narcissistic liar, who told self serving lies to keep me on his arm for 7 years.

I left him for good December 2020 and I am never going back. I am still just so mad that I was lied to for so long. Now I need to focus on healing. Sad to admit but this man depleted me. I’m building myself back up. Wish me luck ladies.

Edit: I just got off a long grueling shift from my Healthcare job (we have covid patients in our icu), and I feel so overwhelmed by reading all of your messages. I was so insecure and embarrassed about posting this at first, I actually posted at like 3:30am my time because I woke up from a shitty PTSD dream of him. All of the love from your responses was exactly what I needed to read to feel supported and accepted in this community! The most important thing is to wake up and realize the lies and deceit, and to draw firm and hard boundaries that this will never be acceptable ever again. You ladies inspire me and I’ve never had a sister, but this has felt the closest to a sisterhood i’ve ever had ❤️ i appreciate each and every one of you
