This is something that I've noticed watching the hostile powermod takeover of the abortion subreddit.

There's this one scrote ("Cedar") who is the top mod of the abortion subreddit but has been inactive for years, meanwhile women and abortion providers did the heavy lifting of growing the subreddit and providing quality information to women seeking an abortion. Cedar refused to step down as top mod and instead ousted all of the active mods in some weird power trip.

This person is lying through their teeth. Everything Cedar says about the situation is projection, DARVO, blameshifting, and just straight up lies. Ya know, the usual script of narcissistic negative value scrotes who refuse to admit when they are wrong.

The scrote audacity is off the charts. This person is speaking so adamantly as if they actually expect other people to believe their lies. Because EVERYONE is telling them that they are wrong, they seem to think it's some kind of conspiracy and "targeted harassment campaign" against them.

It's so frustrating when you are talking to a man who is clearly lying and he just... expects to be believed? No matter what??? Ugh.

Meanwhile so many women don't even speak the truth of their own experiences because they know they won't be believed.

Men take it for granted that their word is more likely to be believed under patriarchy. There were a ton of angry scrotes on my last few posts saying "but women lie too!!!" Duh. I never said women never lie.

It's not a matter of one sex being inherently more honest than the other, the difference is that persons raised with male privilege under patriarchy are more likely to be believed and heard, and therefore there is a greater incentive to lie. Women also face more scrutiny than men and we are more likely to be punished for dishonesty, and much more harshly.

Unless of course a woman's lie is somehow beneficial to patriarchy. Such as a woman saying that she has no physical preferences like "all dicks matter, I actually love men with 1-inch dicks!" or "yes honey, your dick is the biggest one I've ever seen and yes, you definitely made me cum!" Those kinds of lies are celebrated under patriarchy because it makes men feel good.

Men are so used to women lying to them to shield their own fragile egos, so when women finally speak the truth of their own perspectives and experiences, men go apeshit and call it "toxic" because it makes them feel bad.

Men are also used to being able to lie to women with impunity, so when they finally get caught in a lie, and people can see right through them, they go apeshit and call that "toxic" too.

In contrast, women are used to men attacking us for being honest about our experiences. So we keep that to ourselves. Women are used to men getting away with their lies to such an extreme that when a woman is raped or sexually harassed, she seldom reports it, because she knows no one will believe her.

We need to fight this by:

  1. Holding men accountable when they lie.

  2. Speaking your truth, as a woman. Even (and especially) if it makes men feel bad.
