Really, really unsettled. They are admitting that they only started seeing women as whole people when they had their own offspring. (FYI: I'm NOT talking about: "oh now I understand the world from a womans perspective, but rather: "Oh I don't want my daughter to be treated the way that I and my peers treated women back in the day". Like all of a sudden they think that catcalling is disgusting just because it could happen to their daughter. This is straight up awful. But it is true for so many men. Yet they don't even go on to value their daughter, but try to control the way she dresses, control who she goes out with or what she does with her body. They try to control her whole sexuality. This is not true respect.
Here are some quotes from Kanye songs that really hit me deeply:
"Father, forgive me, I'm scared of the karma 'Cause now I see women as somethin' to nurture; Not somethin' to conquer."
"You break a glass and say it again; She can't comprehend the danger she in; If you whoop her ass, she move in with him; Then he whoop her ass, you go through it again; *But how you the devil rebukin' the sin?*"
(I recommend you listen to the whole song "Violent Crimes", it always brings tears to my eyes: https://youtu.be/DSY7u8Jg9c0 )
"Until you have a daughter, that's what I call Karma and you pray to god she don't grow breasts to soon".
Think of Kanye what you will but these lyrics are just spot on and really made me think about they way that some fathers see women. On one hand I am glad that they are recognizing our humanity, but I just can't help but wonder why women can't be seen as human from the get go. Why does it take a baby for someone to treat a woman like a person? It is mind boggling.
And please before you comment on these lyrics or Kanye just listen to the goddamn song and form your own opinion

Fuck that sub honestly.
[–]BoopDeeDooDeeDa 59 points60 points61 points (2 children) | Copy Link
They sub trends on r/popular daily and it's honestly disconcerting.
[–]tthblox 12 points13 points14 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I saw another really sexist post on trending today from femdatingstrats... how the fucknare they getting away with that

Just when I thought things coudn't get worse..
[+]Kiseido -7 points-6 points-5 points (6 children) | Copy Link
I go there on the regular.
Going in with the expectation that each post is from some persons individual experience and feelings, rather than some sort of monolithic thought-space, has shown me much information and perspectives that I would otherwise not have considered or been exposed to over the years.
The world is rife with people making statements with overly-broad language, and expressing their beliefs without the benefit of information that would help better shape those beliefs. Using that as a basis, I try to act like everyone is doing the best they can with the knowledge they posses when not overloaded with emotion. Meaning I try to impart knowledge where I can, absorb it when I am without, and identify when I or others are running afoul of those very human flaws, so that I can step back or advise others to do the same.
That is a sub that seemingly by its nature attracts people whom are seeking help and/or input, and often, due to those circumstances, there is a fair amount of emotional charge.
I don't know what exactly I mean to do with this message, but perhaps my take on it will help transform the "fuck em" mentality into something more productive.

I mean, would it kill the mods to implement a "no generalizations in your title" rule? I'd wager the source of at least half of their problems on that sub are the "DAE MEN?" post titles.
[–]Bretty64 3 points4 points5 points (0 children) | Copy Link
It doesn’t help you argument against generalisations when you literally use one yourself a few words later.
[–]HypcoriteProjection 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Maybe send the mods of this sub that message too

Don't they not though?
For all women I've heard of that have had a change of heart with a son, it is always something happening to him that causes it, not the fact that he exists.
And there are plenty of examples of women who treat their son's horribly because of their feminist beliefs.
[–]Lilkidyunginjr 76 points77 points78 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Her evidence? Kanye lyrics... he is a good representation of men
[–]Criket 43 points44 points45 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Then why that the majority's of boy's who struggle so much in life are raised by single mother? Shouldn't they be better if the feminists saying where true?
[–]igivezerofucks124 14 points15 points16 points (1 child) | Copy Link
That sub is turning into FDS
[–]KalegNar 11 points12 points13 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Eh. If I recall FDS is TERF-dominated whereas TwoX, with its explicit pro-trans policies, would be LibFem.
Both are misandrist ideologies, but slightly different.
[–][deleted] 25 points26 points27 points (2 children) | Copy Link
Some mothers treat their sons like they would other men. No empathy or concern. Even something as personal like someone whose a creation from your own flesh may not be enough to retract blatantly sexist viewpoints.
[–]Mr-X1 11 points12 points13 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I noticed this too. Pretty disgusting tbh.
[–]Draco877 9 points10 points11 points (0 children) | Copy Link
I lived that.

Sexism is sexism. That sub is chock full of hate speech and Reddit allows it. Take most of the posts there and simply reverse the genders being written about and you will be vilified and banned from Reddit entirely. Absolutely the definition of a hate speech forum.
[–]GG1312 25 points26 points27 points (8 children) | Copy Link
There was a post here with a screenshot of a reddit staff telling someone that sexism and racism is okay as long as it’s towards men and white people.
[–]AnOldSchoolVGNerd 14 points15 points16 points (4 children) | Copy Link
While there is absolutely a bias, would they really be so brazen as to flat out admit that?

Wow. Shouldn't be surprised but I am. They flat out said it.
EDIT: Thanks for the link and info.
[–]Kiseido 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
The phrasing there suggests to me that u/redtaboo was directly addressing one of the points, and left unsaid that it should potentially be argued for a different point.
It sounds to me like they do not consider "white" or "male" to be commonly associated as "vulnerabilities" or "vulnerable groups", and as such rule 1 would not pertain to them in the "or vulnerabilities" part.
It seems that OP didn't make the claim that they were "identities" and as such red did not address any notion that such categories would or would not fall under it, and thusly potentially be protected under rule 1.
[–]GG1312 12 points13 points14 points (0 children) | Copy Link
They don’t care, nobody cares about men anyway.
[–]throwawaybear61 15 points16 points17 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yup that’s what this trash thinks and they get on here to post their crap too. Like roaches. Just had to block one here a minute ago. Lying scum, all of them.

Link?
[–]Shmockyy 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Im too lazy to find since its night, but I also saw that (and it pissed me off) just search for "reddit admin" on this sub and you should see it
[–]hardturkeycider 8 points9 points10 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Mostly because people don't take women seriously, mostly for posting ridiculous shit like that. It's a vicious cycle of "i want to be taken seriously" followed by "i had a dream you cheated on me therefore i want a divorce".
[–]HPUnicorn 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
It's also a Karma Farming haven.
[–]Greg_W_Allan 4 points5 points6 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Typical feminist projection. The most active mens' rights advocates in Australia currently are the mothers of sons who have been maltreated.
[–]ImplodedPotatoSalad 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
mommy's self interest / mommy's male doll is on the line, so now "its different" is the name of the game.
[–]Reddit1984Censorship 10 points11 points12 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yep this happens here too as well and is welcome of course at least they care when it hits them personally.
If you nurture women they will suck your soul dry to then throw you away like an used condom (generalizing).
Mens humanity needs to be recognized as well.

If there was a similar sub dedicated to men, it would be instantly shut down or be accused of misogyny or populated with intel’s.
Yes, subs like this one exist but never will to the level and popularity as two x chromosomes, and even then, the discussions here are more mature and level headed
[–]BornAgainSpecial 2 points3 points4 points (0 children) | Copy Link
As always, reality is the reverse. Most people aren't aware, but there is a huge gap in the voting patterns of women. Married women are 40% Democrat. Unmarried women are 80% Democrat. That gap is 2nd only to the black white gap. It's astonishing to think so many women change their outlook the moment they have a family to look after. For married versus unmarried men? No difference. 30% Democrat either way. Men are already voting based on ideals about what's good for society. Women are making impulsive judgements about what is pragmatic for themselves at the moment. It's women who change when they have families, not men.
What changes in men, when they have a daughter, is they realize she has even more sexual opportunities than they thought. They are unsettled and question her ability to ward them off without fatherly protection. In any other context, discovering the truth would set men off on killing sprees.
[–]TAPriceCTR 3 points4 points5 points (1 child) | Copy Link
I would be very pleased if my daughter's chose guys like I used to be. Unfortunately those guys suffer parental approval syndrome which makes them "like a brother to me" at best, but more often just plain invisible.
[–]ImplodedPotatoSalad 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Oh, she will chase them, once she's 40 or so.
[–]FlatTire2005 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Two X sucks absolute ass, but the only problem I see is this woman expecting fathers to be perfectly fine with slutty daughters.
The main point of some guys treating women like shit until they have a daughter still stands. She didn’t imply all men from what I see anymore than I imply all women when I say “I hate it when women expect me to pay for their drink when I don’t even know them”.
But yes, women do it too.
[–]Noob_master_slayer 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Couldn't that be because he never saw a girl grow up before his daughter? That could easily give you unseen insights
[–]HenryCGk 1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link

you need to ignore that sub lol no normal person goes there. only weirdos that no one talks to IRL
