I'm sick of hearing about it, sick of reading about it, and beyond sick of the holier than thou attitudes of the asshole women who think they should have bronze statues erected, for merely raising children.

If you were to look back through my posts, you'd see that my wife died in a car accident when my kids were 1 and 3 years old. I was an active duty Marine, get a long overdue break after a 14 month deployment, when she ran off an icy road on her way to pick me up from the airport.

Women have stress raising kids? I suffered severely from PTSD, left the Corps and had to immediately transition into dad mode for 2 toddlers who had no clue who I was. Think: crying for mom all day and night, every night, and my not having any clue how to make them understand that she was gone.

I worked full time, finished my degree, and did side work as a bouncer, private security, bond recovery, hanging drywall, and anything else I could find, so I could pay a sitter that would work odd hours. I worked like this for 3 1/2 years, until my degree was complete and I had a stable job with the company I'm still with - 22 years later.

My son is a 3rd year journeyman electrician. My daughter just finished her masters degree and is leaving for Madrid as soon as its safe, to take an engineering position.

Was it hard? You bet your saggy mom tits, that it was hard. I had setbacks, and failures, but I did it. I didn't need pity. I didn't make excuses. I didn't need to bring in a new mom for them. I didn't need welfare, or a pat on the back.

I jist needed sleep more than anything else, if im being honest.

Am I proud? Fucking right I'm proud. I'm proud that I raised 2 successful, well rounded, stable, mature adults.

I didn't date until both kids were grown. I'm still figuring that part out, 6 years later, but so far, I'm pretty sure I'm a catch.

I know many other single fathers who have raised their kids, that could have bailed as so many women claim that men do. They've raised successful children, and some are still doing it. No child support, no spousal support, working full time and still staying involved with their kids extracurricular activities.

We're soccer dads, softball dads, volleyball dads, rodeo dads, and most importantly: we're Mom too.

So lady trolls looking for something to repost and make fun of - here ya go. Give it your best shot. Just remember: We don't need your support. If this toxic patriarchy is truly so prevalent, it should be apparent that we didn't need you before either. We built it and have manged to maintain it for thousands of years. If you were able to take over and do better, you would have.

Now, go feed your kids something besides left over Mac-n-cheese, clean your filthy houses, and shut up about how hard you have it.

It's not easy for anyone, Princess.
