Why is red pill thinking so 'controversial' outside of this sub?

Because frankly there are some guys here who have said a couple questionable things. Bluepillers seemingly have all these posts saved on their desktops and stare at them in seething anger for hours on end, so whenever somebody asks about this sub elsewhere they bombard them with these "misogynist, woman hating, abusive, rape advocate" men to which everybody joins in on the circlejerk.

It is what it is. Take from this sub what you want like any other. You dont have to agree with everything but this place is definitely not politically correct which is why I love it.

I just posted this yesterday on /MR to a guy wondering why he was being downvoted for a link to cognitive brain differences between men and women:

They're downvoting you because as soon as there are real mental differences between men and women (making the blank slate idea bunk) this entire idea of equality exposes it's absurdity.

And then once equality is not possible, then those pushing for equality have to realize what they've really been doing: pushing for female supremacy.

And then once they realize equality = female supremacy, then they'll need to evaluate traditional/natural gender roles. And then they'll realize that those roles make sense. But they can't, because "everyone was wrong up to this current generation", dontchakno?

So to prevent that chain of events from happening, they'll do their best to bury the evidence that will disprove tabula rasa and instead stay safe thinking that they're supporting "equality" which will "help men" and that they're "morally superior" to those who don't support "equality"

TL;DR: TRP destroys the idea the equality is possible or even desirable. Since the crowd wants "equality" (because they see "equality" as the elimination of any standards to which they can be held and fail to meet) anything which challenges it is "wrong" or "offensive"

I am not surprised the red pill is rejected by and large.

Women who come here are told, albeit truthfully, that their value is tied to their looks and after age 30 they will no longer be able to get their preferred type of man, having to instead settle for lesser men. This is a hard truth to accept.

Many points been made here, but yes, I would say the problem with the pill is that at the core it makes a biological argument and that goes very much against the "progressive" thinking. Namely: That gender and gender relations are a societal construct, not a biological one.

Of course it isn't all biology, but a certain segment overstates the societal one.

BTW, this isn't limited to male / female relationships btw. You can see the same attitude with anti-vaxxers and many other groups of people that consider themselves "progressive". The problem is that these "fringe" people are running the show now and thus their impact is much bigger than it was even a decade ago. The internet is probably in part to blame. News Outlets like HuffPo et. al. live off of controversy and playing things up helps them sell ads and make more money, so they stoke the fire as well.

Okay, rambling on and widening the scope here, in summary: There is not one simple answer, it's a combination of factors that red pill and MR (for example) are bumping up against. Who knows how it'll all end.

Think about it. Do you really need to ask this question? Look around.

The existence of all shitty social institutions and attitudes that take advantage of a target group is COMPLETELY dependent upon that target group's consent.

A simple example, is marriage and the horrendous court system. If men wise up and quit marrying, the entire social construct comes tumbling down. Women lose the ability to have their lives subsidized. Men take less risk, women take more risk. This all happens if men choose to not marry, but just LTR instead.

If TRP ideas cannot be contained very, very tightly, the current order of things is FUCKED. I do not say that to feel self-important. TRP ideas WILL spread (look at the growth of the manosphere over the past 5 years). This will royally fuck things up for the people who profit from the current state of things.

Even businesses will suffer. 85% of purchasing decisions are made by women - virtually all marketing is aimed towards women. Now if men quit marrying chicks and giving them their bank account to spend, tons of billion$ industries will suffer. What happens if men quit buying bitches jewelry, paying for dates, buying flowers, taking them on nice vacations, buying expensive shit to try to please women, etc?

Everyone but men would suffer. Well, technically the men at Kay Jewelers would suffer too, but fuck them and their ads. I want to vomit when I see that shit.

This is why people react so primally to TRP. It threatens their comfortable life of being subsidized by other people.

I dont even talk about RP with anyone outside of this sub, the blowback isn't worth it. and honestly freeing everyone would just yield more competition. If someone comes asking for help though I will happily answer as best I can. beyond that RP doesnt exist... I just call it being a man.

I'll be honest, I have no interest in rp thought becoming mainstream. Its just so much easier winning when no one else has read the rules. It's like playing life with cheat codes. Yeah, you still have to fight the bosses and and finish the levels, but it's just so much easier. I have zero desire to give the cheat codes to my competition, men or women.

I expect the most common response it that they're still "plugged in" - the red pill, after all, is about the idea that what men have been taught was a lie, and no one is going to be happy about that - especially if they're invested in it, emotionally or otherwise. So they oppose it, even if deep down they recognise signs of the truth. Just witness the anger going on the manosphere - people who just started to accept the red pill usually go into full-blown anger and frustration, nevermind those who don't believe it.

Secondly, I'm afraid they don't want to associate themselves with us. TRP doesn't exactly have the best reputation, to put it mildly.

Its maybe controversial , but not at all uncommon , listen to "the black Phillip show" on youtube , its a radio show that aired for along time, and its all about red pell philosophy , also it was hosted by patrice oneal , who is a very funny dude

I see a few ways people get nervous\angry about this sub and school of thought-

They read the most angry\bitter rants and posts and think TRP is a group of bitter men who hate women.
They read some of the content and do not get the concept that "equal rights" does not mean "we are all the same"
They are have a problem when "equal rights" cuts the same way. Everyone deserves a shot to make it - men and women. When you give one group a handicap and the other group does not get one, you get false equivalency.
For the last 2 (or three) women have had a great deal of resources to deal with issues that are important to them. This makes sense; it did not exist in this manner a while ago. Now that men are saying "hey there are things that only effect men, let's talk about that" it's making them nervous.

I dig this sub, but it has it's silly elements.

First, there's a decent amount of misogyny here. For a bunch of aspiring alphas, some woman getting an overly generous divorce settlement gets lots of panties in a twist here.

And the whole "game" aspect pretty much treats women as walking vaginas, so I can understand why some chafe at that so to speak.

That said, there's a lot good here. Teaching men to ball up about life is a good thing.
