if they stopped and thought a little bit about why men always appear confident they wouldn't be so judgmental. for a man, appearing confident is a necessity. everything about our reality is more competitive. men who show weakness are deemed inappropriate, they are invisible, they don't land that job, they are unsuccessful with women. so women see "mediocre white men" and think it isn't fair that they are seemingly more confident, but they completely ignore that we face just as much hardship, self consciousness, doubt, the only difference is that sucking it up has been engraved in our behavior since the age of preschool.

They are telling women to "attempt" or fake trying to be AS confident as an average male.
