This is sort of like the studies that show poor long term relationship outcomes for both mate-poachers and poachees.

I worked with dv survivors and never encountered even one who had the energy and nervous system reserves to "monkey-branch" in order to escape. But even imagining that the woman in the post was severely ab.used in her marriage, it still wasn't a good move to monkey branch because anyone who knowingly has sex with married people-- regardless of the circumstances-- is absolutely guaranteed to suck. Poachers statistically score high on narcissism, Machiavellianism and psychopathy. So do cheaters. Both are lousy bets for future success in relationships.

This reminds me of a former pickme friend I have. The same LVM would randomly text her out of the blue (he was 6 years older than her), they would meet for a drink, he would future fake and she would always end up sleeping with him at the end of the night. She cheated on two different guys and broke up with one to be with this LVM. As soon as said LVM found out she had left her boyfriend for him, he acted weird and eventually ghosted her. It was almost like he got a kick out of getting her to cheat. She recently married a really lovely guy and the LVM found out about it. He randomly got in touch with me on Instagram asking for her new number because he wanted to congratulate her. I was disturbed by this and blocked him.
