Out of curiosity, if statistics show a considerable skew in numbers for the gender of both perpetrators and victims, wouldn't you want that shown to characterise the situation of rape in our society?
There seems to be no problem here discussing such a trend in reference to alimony though a spouse must pay it regardless of their gender where required.
Further, wouldn't this skew in numbers be indicative of a broader socialisation where members of one gender are more likely to commit it than the other? Wouldn't you want that social system deconstructed in conjunction with analysation on a case to case basis?

Men are far less likely to report a woman raped them, and not taken nearly as seriously when they do. For instance: all those female teachers who commit statutory rape are plead down to lesser charges, or dismissed entirely when they play the victim. In addition to that, the numbers used most frequently, such as the CDC, have extremely broad definitions of rape that don't include men. They all but told women to count it as rape if a girl has had a a few drinks prior to sex. The CDC numbers also do not count a man being forced into sex with a woman as rape; they only count man on man as rape. Basically the CDC only thinks it's rape if you have a penis. Women don't have a penis, therefore they can't rape by the CDC's numbers.
Once you include being 'made to penetrate', the rapes between genders are about equal.

The CDC responded to the identicality of past 12 month 'made to penetrate' for men and past 12 month 'rape' for women saying that you can't extrapolate the figures out to a lifetime victimisation rate - "combining the 12-month estimated number of female rape victims with the 12-month estimated number of male victims misses victims in the cells where reliable estimates were not reported due to small cell counts failing to meet statistical reliability criteria."
Its disingenuous to claim that victimisation rates are equal given it states in the very same table that 21,840,000 women will be raped and 5,451,000 men will be forced to penetrate in their lifetimes.
I do support the definition of rape encompassing 'forced to penetrate' cases also.

I don't think you understand the numbers. They weren't asking about rape within the last 12 months, they were asking about their lifetime; they only excluded the prior 12 months as statistically unreliable. Even then, if you exclude the men you have to exclude the women. You also seem to be ignoring all the prior years where the stats matched up.
And where are you getting those numbers? The CDC?
Edit: I should also add that i don't agree with their assessment that the stats are insignificant. The CDC has already shown a clear bias, and i think they're just tossing out data they don't like.

I'm not sure what you mean. Rape by non "physically forced" lack of consent (i.e. rape without a person's consent when the victim was either too intoxicated to give consent, was pressured / blackmailed, doesn't have the mental capacity to give consent etc.) happens almost exactly the same rate for men and women victims, and for male victimes women are by far the most common aggressors (80% of rapes of males involve a woman aggressor).
The problem with the discussion of male rape victimes is that people are unaware of just how prevalent it is. Unlike alleymony where the data clearly exists (court records) and clearly shows that males are disproportionally affected - in rape the misconception (that you seem to share) that it's primarily a women's issue is a very large part of the problem.

There's no point conflating male rape with female rape as they exist in different capacities. Women's bodies are hyper-sexualised throughout all forms of media - you can't walk down a street without seeing multiple images of objectified women.
There's the issue of porn which is predominantly consumed (and overwhelmingly controlled and made) by straight men where even the most mainstream films include choking, slapping, holding down with the female performer moaning and even crying while the male performer is a placeholder into which the viewer imports himself. In fact, women's pain has been socialised as a prerequisite for sex where 'taking big cocks', 'not walking for days after', 'anally abused' etc. is seen as desirable.
Note seeing these images doesn't quell sexual fantasies but rather exaggerates them and lowers an individual's threshold for wanting to perform them. Studies of introducing anal sex into mainstream porn show, over time, girlfriends and wives asking how to get their partners to stop pressuring them to asking how they can enjoy it.
Women's infantilisation in waiting for actresses to turn 18, 'jailbait' type porn sites and widespread male desire for the 'Lolita' sexualised school girl coupled with the widespread acceptibility of older men dating younger women privileges female naivete which is a tool in sexual coercion.
The construct of romance centres on men courting women, often time glamourising obsessive, persistent and stalker-like behaviour and not taking 'no' for answer because, "I know you want it."
And amidst all this (mind you, not even scratching the surface), you've got this subreddit which is so far detached from women's lives that it spreads rape myths such as that women routinely engage in the costly, time-consuming and resource draining process of making false rape accusations because they regret sleeping with someone. You know, the same rape myths that date all the way back to the Old Testament - its the 21st century's version of, "She didn't scream loud enough."
An analysis of rape in modern society that doesn't take all these factors into account and how they enable, and in the MRA case, protect rapists and sexually aberrant behaviour is an unfinished one.
Yes, society doesn't acknowledge men can be raped by women. That's a huuuuuge problem that all feminist groups fight to change and will be included in this program. But to ignore the gendered nature of rape and sexual violence is downright wrong.

Really? Nice. Can you show me some examples of that?
All I see is feminism appropriating any manifestation of male rape and turn it into female rape to continue and erase male rape from public consciousness.
Example being the term "rape culture", which was originally used as a term to describe prison rape and the culture of making light and even encouraging it in society and popular media - which feminism decided to appropriate and redefine to be about women so this very important and powerful symbol of male rape victims would disappear from the discussion.

Bah. I was personally a victim of false rape accusation - when my ex decided to accuse me of rape because - according to her (when she apologized about it 2 years later) - she wanted to shut her friends up when they kept telling her she was wrong to leave me.
Because she couldn't handle her friends - she decided to go through that "costly, time-consuming and resource draining process" as you put it.
Maybe you should rethink how "costly, time-consuming and resource draining" the process is for someone who wasn't raped. Just because it is very very hard for a person who was raped, doesn't mean it's hard for a person who wasn't. Reliving a rape isn't as draining when the rape never happened.

Ok, let me clear up some MRA lies for you.
Yes, the term 'rape culture' was initially used by prison inmates. This was in a documentary called Rape Culture in 1975 where those very inmates were making the parallel between the culture of rape in male jails and that in the outside world for women - 13 ex-inmates who were founding members of a rape crisis centre called Men Against Rape in Lorton Prison.
They also noted rape is about power, moreso than sex, which feminists, sociologists, psychologists etc. have always said and is a commonly contested fact on this sub.
Further, The Sexual Victimization in Prisons and Jails Reported by Inmates, 2008-09 reports 72000 male victims, while in 2008 the NCVS reported 193000 female victims of sexual assault (close to 3 times as many).
I'm all for the sentiment of a Men's Rights movement fighting the issues of patriarchal masculinity and providing support for male abuse victims, but for God's sake do some fucking research every once in a while and don't uncritically lap up the baseless factoids promulgated by Elam and his ilk. You'll find the misogynistic, anti-feminist aspects dissipate and will prevent it from being hijacked by the demagogues it currently is.

It depends how you define sexual harassment really and how it is enforced. Seeking consent can be conflated with sexual harassment at every point along the spectrum of what is and isn't acceptable. It is subjective and I really doubt a college can fairly make that distinction.

I actually work for the school in the media department (the guy who walks into class and fixes the computer and projector), so take this as you will. The course is a bit skewed towards woman, but not fully biased. I had to do a similar thing from the HR department, so it may be a bit different than his.

I had to take a similar course and it was the most sexist thing I've ever seen. One question literally said "Should all men be treated as potential aggressors?" The answer (according to the survey) was yes. There were no questions corresponding to female aggressors. If you didn't pass with at least an 80% accuracy rate you had to retake it until you did, or you would be unable to register for classes. It was disgusting.

I find it really demeaning that these institutions think they're students need educating to not commit domestic or sexual abuse! I mean it's obvious to anyone with an even mind. You're exactly right. I've taught courses at division one schools to both upper and underclassmen. I currently teach at a CC. I use the exact same information to teach the course between the two settings. The only difference in education my students get is the price.

CC is one of the smartest paths to take. It would save thousands of 4 year students millions of dollars if they were more patient and started at a CC. I work at a large 4 year university with 7 CC branches. Those students pay significantly less for identical classes.

Am I the only one who bothered to try the link? Well, it turns out you can log in and view the whole training session using a fake name and student ID (looks like "Dork Dorksworth" will not be having his registration blocked in future semesters since he completed the training).
The entire thing was worded in gender neutral terms, and there was nothing in it that I found objectionable as an MRA, so you can all put down your pitchforks now.
EDIT: Actually, let's refrain from everyone doing this. I don't want this sub accused of abusing their system by overloading it with false requests. If you want to view the training, it's probably a good idea not to complete it all the way to the end like I did.

This one only took me a few minutes, and the questions basically amounted to a confirmation that anyone of any sex can be a stalker, and that being in a relationship does not constitute automatic consent to sex. This one had videos that you couldn't skip, spent most of those watching netflix, and went more in depth defining consent as the presence of a yes that can be revoked at any point rather than lack of a no. Also went into bystander intervention.

I took the test. They're very good about wording things and the questions promote both men and female rights.
Besides one of the 3 questions they asked, which was "Asking a girl if she's on the pill is the same as asking consent-- true or false." Most of the questions were worded equally in respects to each gender.
Examples. Note that the third picture with the question has the correct answer selected.

I really don't see the point of these, gender neutral or not. I question how successful this would be at solving any of the issues.
I think men are already dissuaded enough by society. Further re-enforcing how precious women are isn't going to change anything.
And I don't think a single course is going to offset an entire lifetime of being allowed to abuse boys and men. So it won't stop abusive women from being awful.
