Welp, if knowing anything about the ABA Model Rules (since I only know NY's rules and the ABA model rules), that if the plaintiff's lawyers made a legally and factually frivolous lawsuit--it can be sanctioned by disbarment.

If this is in federal district court, then they can follow FRCP Rule 11 and have 21 days to rectify the error (most likely withdrawing the suit) or else they can be sanctioned by the court. If it's in a state <shrugs>, that much I don't know about but the respective state will have their own rules. But Judging by Dersh's response; out for blood and 21 days has probably lapsed--just a guess, though.

A child who is a confirmed victim of a child sex trafficking ring (that Jeffrey Epstein went to jail for) names this man (who is known to be kind of a scumbag for other reasons) specifically during her court case. This guy, who is incredibly rich, powerful, and well connected, comes up with alibis. What is more likely, that this girl is falsely accusing him (and for what gain?), or that this Dershowitz (who is in a uniquely powerful position to do so) fabricated his defence? Also, this is him saying "no I didn't and I have proof" to her accusation. There has been no court case or investigation into this specific accusation whatsoever. It's just what she said vs. what he said at this point. And remember the accuser isn't some random woman, she is an underaged girl that Jeffrey Epstein was convicted of selling into sex slavery for various rich and powerful men her whole life.

So how THE FUCK was this upvoted to the top of /r/justiceporn? And with hundreds of highly-upvoted comments saying shit like
