Not asking for “advice” on what to do, just looking for anecdotal experiences! I’m 1 month out from the official decision to separate. My wife and I have been on borrowed time the last 5 years after our last separation and we are pulling the trigger on the divorce amicably and at a very friendly place. I’m extremely confident in our ability to maintain this attitude going forward. We have set boundaries while in the house together and essentially, live your life but keep it out of the home. So no sex/date in the house basically.

I’m curious how many of you started dating immediately in similar situations and what did you learn from your choices to do so? Marriage has been pretty much loveless for the last 5 years so it I can promise I don’t have emotional hangups over it, more just the exhaustion and stress that naturally accompanies a change like this. But I met someone this morning who I thought I had a connection with, and I’d like to ask out the next opportunity we see each other. Not looking for another wife, just someone to maybe have a good date with and be done, or maybe have several?

So yeah, share away gents if you have any stories to tell and stay strong to those struggling!
