I’ve been separated from my stbxw for more than a year.

At first all I wanted was reconciliation, but the further I got away from the relationship the more I realize just how gaslit I was and how toxic she is.

We both had our faults, but the point is now I’m ready for this to be over .

But it seems like the court process is taking forever.

So far this divorce has not really been contested, but it’s like nobody cares to get this over with.

For my mental health, I need this to be finalized.

I know I have to deal with her to some degree for the next so many years because we have children together, but even her text messages to me about the kids are excessive.

I’m not kidding, she’ll send me texts like we’re supposed to be buddies or something.

Just completely stupid shit that has nothing to do with anything acting like we’re supposed to be friends after she’s the one that blew up the family and left.

When I have the kids, I take care of them. I communicate with her her for their sake only.

At the end of the day, I just really want nothing to do with her.

To those guys that are still pining away for that relationship that she destroyed, give it some time.

If you’re honest with yourself, you would understand you don’t really want her back at the end of the day because she’s a terrible person and can’t be trusted.

It’s time to move on with your life.

That’s what I want to do, but I’m kind of stuck right now because I can’t make any major financial decisions or even consider dating because I’m still not technically divorced.

For example, right now I’m living paycheck to paycheck. Don’t get me wrong, all my bills are paid and I have groceries, but I can’t do much else until things are finalized.

It just sucks languishing in this position with everything up in the air and not being able to do a damn thing about it.

I’ve been asking my lawyers office to get a final hearing date, but it’s like they keep blowing smoke up my ass.

Then again, I know that the justice system does move very slowly, which is stupid.
