Truly horrible. You can use the losses you are going to take to your advantage. Stop trying to defend your assets, especially anything that is worth less than the settlement and legal bills. Gut any businesses and close them. Hide assets. Once there’s a settlement, declare bankruptcy. Pay no bills and use that cash for the lawyers. Make sure that her half is worthless.

. Doesn't she have taxes filed..doesn't that show her income. Request 5 years or tax returns.

Also shes a registered surgeon as you stated with a degree, you should me impuding her income based on her confirmed degrees as a doctor.

She cant hide her registration.

Why are you paying her legal fees.

Sorry you need to go through this but seems like you are in a decent spot now. Congratulations on getting your kid back. Keep documenting everything between now and the trial but just filing things only objections and stop the back and forth as it is a waste of resources at this point. Bring it in at trial. Go into silent mode at this point. Make sure you get credit back for any legal fees paid for her to net out. Also, threaten and do file a complaint with the chief states attorney office in your state. My state has a committee that reviews all complaints against attorneys made up of attorneys and non attorneys. There are specific forms you need to fill out to make ethics and negligence complaints. This is at the state level. Good luck. Minimize ongoing costs until trial.

I’m sorry man. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. If you claim she is hiding income why haven’t you issued discovery or subpoenaed where the income is hidden? Motions are fine but evidence is what’s key. Motions can be a waste if not substantiated. Maybe have a conversation with your lawyer about whether you’ve properly gathered all the evidence. If she’s asked for a continuance based on failure to produce there may be an opening for you to obtain more evidence if your lawyer hasn’t issued the right discovery requests. Also, is the lawyer she’s living with representing her?

I can only offer my personal story. Don't give up. This similarly happened to my father. My mother made his life hell and she had at one point had her attorney living with us at the time. F that guy. I was 12 when my parents split and some of the bs they pulled basically followed my father till I was 26 when my mother passed away. But the turning point, as my father tells me, was when he got proof of that shitbag living with his client (my mom). My father got pictures of him ironing his clothes in our living room. Of course, they tried to fight the claims. Judge saw through the bs, he was on the public road when taking the picture yada yada and turned the tables on the attorney. He was disbarred and immediately following dumped by my mother. I hope that dude never recovered from that.

Also my father did everything he could to always pick me up for his weekends. Even after losing his license to suspension because of back child support. During all the petty claims that ah put through for my mother. The entire legal battle was kept separate from me. My father rarely let the emotional and financial battle he was facing affect our relationship. He never lost sight of what matters most. Do I resent him because he chose not to support my mother financially as she actively fought to keep us from him. Not one fing bit. I see him multiple times a week to this day and love him to death. My relationship with my mother was as such, I loved her, she was my mother and I lived with her till she passed. As I matured, I completely resented her deep down as I could see her vindictive ways unfold. She always bitched about my dad, money he owed and tried to interfere with our relationship. This failed. I only learned of these facts later on in life from my father.

Hopefully, my journey can give you hope. Fight for your kid! Don't give up. I can feel your frustration in your post. This will pass. Fight them to till financial ruins to secure custody. Money can be made again, time with your boy cannot.

First of all I can’t speak to the legal side of your divorce considering I’m not a lawyer. Unfortunately the legal system is setup in her favor as you’re well aware and there’s not much you can do except consult your attorney and get their advice. As for the hell you’re being put through right now I understand it’s excruciating and it feels like it will never end. One day it will and you’ll finally be relieved of all this stress. You just have to endure it for now for the sake of your son. Don’t give up man you’ve already come this far so why stop now? It doesn’t feel like it will get better at the moment I’m sure but your vindication will come later when your son grows up and realizes the kind of person his mother is and what you had to go through. She can’t hide the evil forever and it will come back to bite her when you end up having an amazing relationship with your son and she gets the scraps. You’ll get through this and when you do you’ll see why it was worth it to persevere.

So sorry you're going through this man. I'm not sure anybody on here is qualified to give you the level of advice that will help you.

I wouldn't be surprised if her AP and the judge aren't golf buddies at the local country club. I knew a guy who went thru a divorce, the judge sided with the guy's ex on everything and wouldn't even listen to the guy. She got the house without him getting any equity even though they purchased it together during the marriage with his income, then after the divorce was finalized she sold the judge the house for half it's value, the judge sold the house a year later for full price. They basically stole his equity from him. The only explanation was that she bribed the judge to side with her in exchange for her selling the house to the judge for half the price. Never underestimate these assholes and what they will do to separate you from your money.
