My stbx wife left me 2 months ago, I still have a lot of emotional baggage over it, it was a divorce I did not want at the time. We are both in our 20s, been together since high school.

She is generally friendly to me, but treats me like an acquaintance most of the time, which I'm still coping with. We have to see each other for the time being for days at a time to raise our kid.

It really hurts me to see her doing all the things we used to do with her friends and being happier than she was with me. She is clear she no longer loves me, but does "care" for me.

I do still have moments of deep sadness and sometimes anger about how happy she is with her friends, she loves them, yet her love for me is completely dead, she makes sure I know it too.

We have had sex a couple of times so far since the split. We have always had amazing sex, she and I both agree. In fact, the two times we've fucked since the split have been better than ever, like wild and rebellious.

The only thing we've agreed to be completely honest and open about is new sex partners due to potential STD's.

She has made it clear to me she's ready to fuck and/or start a new relationship when she meets the right person, but that she will tell me and of course we will have to cut off the sex if it happens. She has a rebellious streak since we separated, so I know she's looking to fuck around a little even if she doesn't want to outright say it.

I am also open to a new relationship, but I highly doubt I'll find mrs right anytime soon, of course I agreed to let her know if I decide to fuck someone else.

She has made it clear that her intentions with the sex are completely casual and that she has no feelings for me anymore at all. She, like myself, doesn't want to give it up until we have to.

Most of the time I feel the same way about her, resolute that we weren't meant to be together and accepting that she is now her own woman and can do whatever she wants regardless of my opinion. But I do still have some jealousy about the people she spends time with now, I wish I didn't have this jealousy and I realize it's irrational to think she's not going to move on and do adult things with other adults, as will I one day.

When I get depressed, I do not regret the sex, but the new memories we're making together do bother me sometimes. It's just another thing keeping her on my mind and hindering my moving on.

A lot of the time I feel confident that I can just break off the sex whenever we have to, but some of the time I realize it will be a harsh blow when she comes at me with the "I met another guy" talk. I'm almost certain she'll find a new guy before I find a new girl.

I'd like to hear some thoughts. I expect most comments to say we need to break it off right now, but it's tough for me to just accept that answer because most of the time I'm totally fine with and excited about our sex nights. It's like 90% excitement/fun and 10% jealously/sadness. To me that sounds like a net win, but I know my dick is doing a lot of the talking.
