If you can afford it live on your own. I did it for the first time in my life after getting divorced and it was amazing! You can heal so much faster when you don't have other people distracting you from creating a new healthy routine and lifestyle.

How old are the kids? Like 5y ago i was living with a dude that got his kid every other week but that kid was like 10y.o it was cool, layed back and nice so no issues with that. Just make sure any house mate is OK with that 😉

I’m getting a 1 br apartment for $750/month. Has a gym with cardio, free weights, smith machine, and has a pool for the kid. I work nights, so kid can sleep in my bed 2-3 nights a week. It’ll be cheaper than my mortgage was, so In the next 3-5 years, I’ll buy a house in a more rural area. Like others said, it depends on your finances. I’m too old for a roommate, but it did cross my mind, briefly.

The marital home belonged to me so I got to stay. I live by myself, but do have the privilege of paying for her condo for a few more years 🤷‍♂️
