I’m a gen-x woman and I’m upset with what’s happened to the minds of young men as well. Because I have two teenage daughters and and one who’s about to turn ten. They’re going to be dealing with this firsthand. But I’m absolutely furious that sooo many of the men and even some women that are pushing this advice are from our generation I.e Rollo, Rich Cooper, and Kevin Samuels

Another Gen-X here. I'm just dismayed. I thought were were on the path toward ending sexism, and reducing homophobia (at least), so these setbacks are wild to me.

I get the appeal of the redpill, because I'm a socially awkward loser type, but they also seem to hate me in the comments. In real life, though, I am a magnet for incels looking for sympathy.

I did too,, it’s baffling how flawed their logic is. It’s genuinely scary to watch because *I* am exactly what they are against.. and the way they talk themselves in circles without evidence to prove any of their claims or beliefs while simultaneously contradicting themselves just goes to show.. there really isn’t a clear train of thought. A lot of their opinions and beliefs are based on personal emotions and lack of respect for another persons (usually women) autonomy. The guys at the top are selling the viewers own rage back to them and “validating” that rage against women as if a simple statement like “sexual woman= bad” can encapsulate an entire gender of the most complex species on the planet

Haven’t heard of/watched jubilee before.

I’m a tail end gen x woman and only recently realised how manosphere has gone mainstream, which made me go look at it more to understand why and how.

The trigger for me to learn more was I spoke to a young man (20s) who I would consider smart, personable, capable. I mentioned I’m glad I’m of the era who dated prior to apps because they just seem completely toxic. He then said it’s easy though for women, they get plenty of interest. But only men if they are an 8-10 get interest back, and the rest are stuffed. I was quite shocked to hear him say this (as I thought only the stupidest misogynistic manosphere cave dwellers believed that), i explained to him that’s not how attraction works, there is no universal scale of attraction, that different women want different things and one persons 1 is another persons 10. But he just looked at me with his sad eyes and I could see he didn’t really believe what I was telling him.

This made me look into the modern situation (quality journalism, documentaries, and these subs about people exiting)… and yeah it is so sad that young boys are often being indoctrinated into these beliefs when all they are trying to do it figure out life and are too young to know better. And scary that even some older men (eg gen x) who may even consider themselves feminists are going down RP when they are in a vulnerable state of mind after a breakup.

I feel like the sensible world has largely been sleeping while this hate group has lurked in plain site and grown large sucking more and more men into it.

Luckily my daughter (early 20s) has mixed gender friends who if anything just laugh at this stuff (not feeling affected) and my nephews (20s) are good guys who had long term relationships from their teens, so there are still people able to see through it even if raised in a society surrounded by it.

The big thing I find weird about the body count is like, people with minimal experience suck in bed - there is no getting around this, if you've slept with fewer than three people, you're probably not great in bed.

I just find it so exceptionally weird that their logic regarding number of people you've been with completely sidesteps the obvious, which is that generally, experience makes you better at something.

Like, why even get laid if the framework you're setting up for yourself ensures you'll be working harder for worse sex?

Ex-redpill here, turning 30 next year, I agree with the guy that came to debate in the episode, and many men in that room agree with him too. I learnt about TRP in 2019, and I followed its advice for as long as I can remember. I didn't completely let go of it, but I matured into it, I still have TRP beliefs (you should make money, get a good job, have a good status, stay healthy, be talented, open-minded, travel, date as many girls as you can, gather experience, have sex, find a girl that's decent enough for an LTR), but away from all of the toxic teachings like "SMV", "AWALT", "MGTOW" and all of these nonsensical advice.

At the end of the day, it's really that simple: not everyone is the same, lumping all women under one umberalla and expecting them all to behave in a certain specific way is wrong.

What it's about and if my son asks me one day, "Dad, what does it mean to be a man?" The answer is simpler than all of these guys make it to be: to do things that YOU want to do, as long as they make sense and are rational. A lot of men struggle with sailing their ships to where they want. They let other people intrude, they let other men and women take control of their lives, they have no leadership skills, they don't know how to make boundaries, they don't know how to read people's behavioral cues and hints, they can't handle stress, they can't handle challenges, they just wallow in their pain and suffering, play the victim card and binge videogames with no real goal or path in life. This is what men suffer from.

Women have never ever been the issue. With women, you either like her, as in she has qualities you're looking for, or you don't, and at the end of the day, it is YOU who decides.

Later editing, Well, I watched 20 minutes while changing my phone's screen protector. The pro redpill people keep giving generic talking points and just treating these as complete givens. The anti redpill guy is toothless and keeps criticizing the redpill's misogyny and apparent tendency to make its members actually less happy; However, he never points out how the redpill also makes the men hate other men nor how it just makes the guys obsess over women. For a supposed male empowerment thing, it sure obsesses over trying to find enemies.

I’m a Gen Z man and I’ll totally disagree with you on this. I watched that jubilee episode and honestly I was pleasantly surprised with how many had clearly broken out of the manosphere cult. If you ask how I came to this conclusion, it’s mainly because many of their views had more nuance than I was expecting. I was red pill, got therapy, came out the other side on many issues and got clarity on why I believe the others.

I still care about body count because I know for a fact that high body count tends to correlate with low self esteem and that’s something I want to avoid when dating.

Mark cannot win this debate within reality. It's not winable. Has anyone seen the old Red Pill documentary created by Cassie Jaye, a feminist women who set out to show how nasty mens rights and red pill was? She's a lovely gentle woman who was once a feminist, and has now turned against it. It's one of the only honest takes on this matter. Louis documentary is just a hit piece, he even said so himself. He set out to find only the extreme examples. Let's be clear, red pill is not mysogynist. It's simply observations of how society treats men and ignores it. When Mark says that red pill means hatred of women, a man could say the same about feminism. Think about it. Feminists say "Kill al men" - "Not all men but always a man" - completely ignoring the facts that women are in fact just as violent in relationships, instigate most fights and abuse men at equal rates. Women who led have started wars at equal rates. REd Pill is about equality, or about fairness. If feminists wanted equality they would be on-to-one in the coal mines with men and on-to-one at the front lines of wars dying. They would be in the kitchen with men, instead of being servers. They would consume mens conten like simps consume theirs, and men would at all stages in life make women work harder and harder to show "effort". I could go on for ages. DEI hurt 95% of men and especially young men because of the benefits the top 5% had, while giving unmerited promotions, raises and benefits to women. If feminists wanted equality women would have to pay the same taxes, but at the end of the day women collectively spend more taxes than they contribute. The fact is that men are mistreated, they are not given credit for all that they do and theres no such thing as a woman who isn't benefitting from a man due to how men build and maintain infrustructure. Men just want respect again, they want women who value them and stay loyal. They want the honor they give.
