One of the things that resonated with me the most in RP is the whole AF/BB thing.

I’m 25 and for most of my life, I haven’t been successful with women. I was bullied as a child and I’m on the spectrum, so I was never good at socializing and I’ve always kind of had low self-esteem. I had a girlfriend a few years ago but she was verbally abusive and she also admitted in the end that she was only with me because she wasn’t attracted to me but wanted to use me.

I’m in a way better place now and I’m ready to start dating. I recently got a 6 figure job, I’m in better shape, and I have my own car and place. I’m still not the best at socializing but I’m trying to work on it.

One of my fears is being seen as the “safe” guy. I do not want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn’t view me as attractive but sees me as a stable option. I want to be desired for who I am as a person, not the stability that I offer. I don’t want to be in a relationship with someone who desired/lusted after a certain type of man but sees me as just “meh” and isn’t physically attracted to me. Is this a valid concern?
