In my solid 10+ year experience, they'll lead you right off a steep cliff and laugh at you with their buddies as you fall to your figurative death (and then share your personal info and intimate images that you trusted to them with their good ol' boys club too, which then leads to a gangstalking of epic proportions for years and maybe even identity theft as an added bonus). 0/10 would not recommend.

Edit: Tip to those that share nudes with others - hide tiny numbers in the photos (font colour the similar to the background of wherever you put it), so when something makes it back to me or I find it posted somewhere, I know exactly who shared it. 🤘🏼

because they are insecure and want to control the people in their lives, is the short answer. it's a pretty slick little operation, because they're leading, they're in control of everything, but if anything goes wrong, it's the woman's fault 100% of the time. it's pretty transparent and very pathetic

In my experience, being a man taking the lead keeps the relationship healthy.

Women don't want an uncertain boy that they than have to mother. It's a major turn off, plus, nobody can love someone they don't respect.

As a man, know yourself. Take responsibility. Don't pine over control as it's largely an insecurity.

Because they hate equality since it requires communication, compromise, etc. A lot of this strict adherence to gender roles stuff is driven by men not wanting to give up control.

Completely lack control anywhere else in life and can only get in in a relationship where "men are supposed to be in charge". Its like it's their default control. This absolutely includes men with and without money.

It’s a deeply entrenched idea in a lot of societies that men should be empowered over women. Our world, although we have made progress, is not really that far away chronologically speaking from women legally being owned first by their father and then by their husband. In some places that is still the case. A lot of those ideas persist even when these guys don’t recognize the history behind their attitudes. Obviously it’s ridiculous but that’s what I have observed

I didn't want to lead. But women seem to put the role of "leader" on men. They want you to make decisions, be dominant in bed etc. because they find it sexy. But with being leader also comes the responsibility when shit gets wrong.

Men lead. Women will totally take the the lead, but even in chill convo my fiancée is that she consistently wants me to take the lead and make choices.

Bear in mind that she is an attorney and Im an idoit when recourse becomes a term of art with her. She makes a LOT more than I and still differs to my judgement because my confidence in our world is mine.

She still wants a man. The obsession is mental conditioning to help you be the man she needs. It is not bad advice.

Yes your woman can lead you instead, but she will lose respect for you because that is the sacred pact. Some of my favorite cheaters when I was a libertine told how little they respected their men for being indecisive pushovers. Lovely sex. Awful people.

The people who do this tend to have avoidant attachment issues and want control because they never had their needs met and or when they did it was via oppression.

Thus they learned if I have control I have my needs met.

It is a very common trait amongst dark triad people especially people in the rp.

So to is objectification. In fact I’d argue to be in dark triad you must see everything as an object and everyone as a manipulator thus it makes sense in their mind that they want total control and submission of everyone.

They also probably got the Dom and leader words from bdsm as me being a Dom in that community it has a lot to do with leadership: dominance submission.

But they fail to realize true Dom men actually don’t have control. The women constantly gives up her control with the notion that the Dom Will satisfy all her wishes and make her open and grow.

They also do not understand that there is tons of communication and intimate bonding before hand including a meeting without sexual intimacy most times.

As someone who has crawled out of that ideological sewer, I'd say the reason I was obsessed with "leadership" in a relationship is because I was a complete push-over who was constantly getting rejected and it felt like the only women who WOULD associate with me were just trying to take advantage of me in one way or another.

I was attracted to red-pill rhetoric because it spoke directly to my insecurities and promoted itself as a solution. The reason women don't respect you is because you're weak (which I was) and I wanted women to love and respect me.

From my perspective reading that shit, I saw that lots of women dated, respected and loved the exact same guys who used to bully, ridicule and beat me up as a kid, therefore if I wanted women to date, respect and love me, I have to act more like a strong, machiavellian bully, which then I started to look at any encounter with another, not just with women, as a direct power challenge and I must aim to win!

From someone who felt weak his whole life, the red-pill is extremely empowering(at least in this short term). The pseudo-empowerment aspect of the red-pill, which is precisely what helps the ideology spread and it's precisely what makes it so dangerous.

I honestly feel people don't talk enough about the empowerment aspect of the red-pill because that is where you can most effectively counter it's spread in society.

I was able to pull myself out because I realized it was all bullshit used to bait men into buying books, lectures, workshops, etc while not actually solving their problems, but unfortunately a lot of men won't come to that conclusion on their own, especially considering that their attraction to the RP is 100% based on emotions with no coherent logic.

As oppose to what exactly? Unless the man is abusive and doesn't let his woman making decision in a relationship. Then that is problematic

I get it, too much of the end of spectrum whereby man are overly "dominant"in a relationship is stupid, but let's face it woman feel much more safer and relax when she know her man are capable of making decision. Hence the message man must lead in a relationship.

Its only sexist and abusive if he doesn't respect the man doesn't respect his SO.
