It's based in the concept of assigning value and labels to women based on patriarchal ideals. Using it will give validation to this concept and give scrotes who use it seriously something more to hide their misogyny behind as they'll claim to be using it in the same context if ever called out.

Established memes are excellent carriers for disseminating information. A meme communicates a thousand words in one funny punch.
This meme was effective because it's a recognised format that we've all come across on Reddit. Should its incel source really remove itself from its effectiveness in communicating an idea?

Single = anything but lonely. Damn in the time I've been single I've moved country, done my Master's degree, started my research line, got an apartment, learned my new country's language, lost 10 kg, improved my skin, developed a healthy diet. Most men are irrationally scared of women's personal development, so I'm still looking for a HVM unicorn :)

It was a really fancy salon in a cow town with a university that really clings to hippie mentality. I went to school there and used to be the same! Oh you don't need any possessions! Or nice things. I was the dudebro cool girl... that kind of thinking. But I left, landed my dream job, and now have the ability to treat myself when I visit friends. Some of my friends even hassled me about it. Really weird to give a s* where a girl cuts her hair and openly state that you're not okay with her choice. 😂 Most of them are popping out kids or are still living in a house that daddy pays for while they finish another degree. I guess we can't relate?
I stopped thinking like that once I hit the workforce and realized how much blood, sweat, and tears goes into working and paying your own bills. I also don't have anyone to financially take care of but myself.

Aww, thank you for including a muslim woman. My sisters haven't married yet because they haven't found anyone suitable and my father is worried they're "getting older" but they're settled into their jobs and have a good friend support network and having the time of their lives. Settling isn't even on their radars.

Yep! Not to mention the constant attempts to bring you down if you don’t follow traditional convention!
I’m the only one of my female cousins that is unmarried because I’m picky with men (and only late 20s!). They all got married at like 18-23. Mind you these women weren’t pressured, they had a choice! Whenever family (mostly the depressing PickMe women) try to put me down for not making the same shitty life choices and immediately getting married and having kids, I just smile and say “when you develop an identity that extends beyond being a wife and mother, that’s when I’ll settle for a man like your husband, in the meantime I’ll keep advancing in my career!”
My mother is insanely proud of me when I put them in their place.
