Completely lost myself, painted all the red flags green, had to gain back my self confidence, worth and learn how to value myself.

Yet, I’m still stuck with the pain of doing this to myself knowing deep down in my gut that something was wrong. This led me to being haunted and a useless POS living rent-free in my head. 🙄

This one hurts. It's so true. I used to be out here really really rooting for NVM and LVM just to do ONE nice thing for me, ONE thing, and yet they didn't. If a man is LV/NV, he's LV/NV. It's a waste of energy and of mental health to try to change them.

You know... Yes I can relate to this, of course I can, I've had some really bad experiences in my history.

Where I am now is "I'm not responsible for the abuse or lack of care by other people" - which helps. Especially with the worst cases.

There's exactly one situation where that didn't help, and you know what did? Realizing that if I succeeded in "making it happen" I'd never know if he wanted to be there. I'd never feel secure. There would always be an edge to that relationship.

If he wanted to, he would. 100%.

Same, I always stay waaay to long but it was before FDS. And I had tones of green paint for the redflag too. Now no more shit, I am done welcoming a man in my house, especially for free. I was asleep but FDS worke me up, I am so grateful !
