There are many posts here on why having a crush and pursuing men (who often don't like you back) is not beneficial for women. There are yet fewer posts on how to move on from a crush so I'll address that.

Firstly, don't feel bad about having a crush. Even though crushing on random men (who often turn out to be LV) is not beneficial, our brains are programed to crush on men. It's normal to fill in the gaps about what you don't know or are uncertain about your crush and see him in the best light.

If your crush is someone you barely know, chances are you're probably incompatible with him even if he likes you back. He may not be a HVM. Even if he is HV, differences in terms of upbringing, social class, life goals, wanting to have kids or not, religion, political viewpoints, and personal values will create conflict. There are just so many factors to consider and chances are you will not be 100% compatible (or even somewhat compatible) with this guy.

Even if this guy is a guy you've known for years so you know he's compatible, how can you know he is really a HVM? There are plenty of LVM who are nice to everyone they know except to their wives at home. It's literally impossible for an outsider to observe he's a LVM.

And even if the guy is HV and compatible with you, you may not get along with his family. When you get married, you're not just marrying the guy but his family too but his family may not be pleasant folks. They may look down upon you for being less wealthy than them, pressure you to have kids, or force you to regularly attend family gatherings you dislike.

So yup, you're probably thinking your crush as a Prince Charming, but statistically speaking, he's probably a LVM, incompatible with you, or both. No need to waste so much time hurting yourself while fantasising about someone who doesn't like you back when you two may not even be compatible.
