Even if she visited the kids every day, living with the guy still shows the kids that she’ll prioritize him over them. There should have been a better alternative than that. Firstly, he burned down her home and killed her dog! Are you kidding me?! But he apologized - so what?! She then chose to live with him and have her children live with her cousin until she got a new home - TWO YEARS later! What. The. Actual. Fuck.

Now it’s 10 years later and she’s still just the girlfriend. Forever a girlfriend. SMH. (Although in this case, I’m glad she didn’t marry him. Her mistake was not dumping him the moment she found out his negligence caused the fire that ruined her house, a lot of her belongings, killed their dog, and made her oldest child feel insecure and abandoned.)
