Time and time again men will make comments that prove if we make the first move he will settle for less for you because you made it easy for him.

Some man on the Hinge Subreddit explained that if women on Hinge like him first he will graciously lower his high standards to go out with her. He will only LIKE girls he really, really likes but accepts lower women who like him first. His comment:

“I can post a conversation I had today, but I just talked a little and asked her out for drinks for tomorrow after a couple messages. She seems to be quite excited as well. In general girls that send me likes tend to get converted to dates way more often than girls I send likes to. My standards for sending likes is also high, generally 8s/9s, while I'll go out with 7s that like me first.”

I don’t even like men’s profiles first with online dating which idk if that’s extreme but I think that way I can at least somewhat eliminate lukewarm guys (I am taking a break from online dating anyway for the time being + sometimes guys who don’t really like you will still like your profile first because they don’t have many options)

I don’t want someone to accept me for being a “7” who he accepted because I made the first move, I want him to think I was worth pursuing. I like being the prize, and I’m sure ladies here also like to be highly valued.

Also all this 7,8,9 stuff is subjective and men who are very attracted to you and think you’re worth it will approach.
