I'm a first generation Latina and finding a guy who is decent and who is gearing towards improving himself (a promotion, going to school, perfecting a skill) is hard where I live.

At the end of the day, I dont mind earning more than a man, but it's that "stuck" mentality that I dont like: this mentality of not striving for more. The reason why I dont like it is because these people tend to question or belittle you when you are striving to do better financially/education instead of supporting you. Or in other cases, they are insecure of your personal successes.

I'd be more okay with a poor guy, if he was actually responsible with what funds he did have. I don't make a lot of money, so I get it. But you save your money, live within your means best you can. The job market where I live sucks, nothing pays well, even before COVID. But so many poor LVM here spend any extra money they have on weed or video games, while complaining about having no money. It is not attractive at all. A self-sufficient lower-income guy is another story.

This is the truth but then men have the nerve to say stupid shit like “all women care about is money!” While they work at Burger King calling off half of their shifts to sit at home and send crusty dick picks to girls online.
