Thank you for posting this! I have some friends who routinely steam themselves with herbs and use expensive products to “maintain” their pussy so that it’s fresh and taut. Tried to explain how menstruating does that naturally and why warm water is sufficient, but all that did was convince them I’m nasty down there. It really makes me sad, because they believe their vaginas would otherwise be dirty and worn out (wtf!). Even sadder, they do it all for the common fuckboy who, in the end, discards them anyways.

Hello ladies, nurse here. I’m seeing a lot of conflicting information here in the comments. Remember the vagina and the vulva are two different things.

Lots of things dictate how you will end up washing yourself. If you lead a sedentary lifestyle and/or wear loose clothing in natural fabrics like cotton and linen, then washing with lukewarm water could be sufficient enough.

But if you’re active, go jogging, bike riding, do yard work, and you wear typical tight spandex workout clothes, any kind of synthetic fabrics like polyester, and “cute” underwear, you will need more than just water to wash your vulva. The labia minor and majora are part of the vulva. Using fragrance-free gentle cleansers are good for this area. Do not use cleaners INSIDE your vagina, and don’t douche either. The only thing you need to use to keep the inside of your vagina clean is water because the vagina is a self-cleaning organ.

I have a friend that douches regularly, uses straight up IRISH SPRING SOAP in and around her vagina, and sprays her expensive perfume on her vulva AND on her panties because she wants it to smell nice when her man goes down on her. She’s perplexed as to why she’s always getting yeast infections and BV 🤦🏻‍♀️

not to be tmi, but I like using an exfoliating face wash to clean outside the area after shaving and a gentle cleanser (the hydrating one from Cerave is nice!!) for daily cleansing. warm water w/ a tad bit of hydrating cleanser for the inside!! after drying I put a bit of unscented deodorant for sensitive skin (Dove brand is amazing) just in the crevice of that inner thigh area (not on ur actual vagina obvi) and that all works for me!! I drink a lot of water (w/ apple cider vinegar, liquid stevia and cinnamon), too! should mention tht I've never had a yeast infection or anything like that in my life!! I've used this cleaning method for some time now and prefer it best for freshness :3

Hey, OP! 👋🏻 I actually worked as a print & hand model for Summer’s Eve and all the other models and crew members that day thought this product was equally ridiculous. None of us models had even heard of this product prior to the shoot date. We would all probably agree with your post! Please don't listen to people saying not to use soap on the outer area and near the lips. If you don't know which parts I'm talking about specifically, google the anatomy.
