Spin-off to an earlier post someone did, as I’ve been thinking. Most communication with men is not done in good faith especially with LVM or LV people who are the main people you would be looking to block.

If you’re already at the point you need to block them there’s been disrespect- usually repeated or long term.

Disrespect they themselves would not take if the situation was reversed. If you’re having to get rid of them over repeated disrespect it’s a fallacy when people say you must cOmMuNiCaTe why with them.

They’re assuming this time, when emotions are running high and they are already butt hurt from rejection, is going to be the one time out of 100 opportunities they’ve already had when they finally behave and treat what you’re saying with respect.

How likely is that. You’re leaving them because of disrespect but that one last emotionally difficult convo is going to be the one time they act right and respect you even though there were 99 instances of disrespect prior?

In my experience, men only use communicating why you’re leaving to invalidate and make you seem wrong or unreasonable, despite knowing exactly what they did. To play dense. To gaslight. And oftentimes to make you out to be crazy.

I’ve even had men demand an explanation from me only to make me out to be crazy and overinvested when I give one. Like I’m doing too much or need psychological help, which is of course a distraction from the faults and failures I raised about them to neg me in return with a psychological concern troll that I need professional help if I’m that upset or that worked up. Even though I’d given them no explanation at the outset and they had to drag it out of me.

They sought to elicit a reaction, even straight up demanded one, to then shame and humiliate me on it

Almost all end demands by men to communicate when you’ve hit critical mass are false ones. They don’t really mean it genuinely.

Same often goes for friendships and jobs where you feel you have to ghost.

Demands to communicate at that point are almost never done in good faith, are almost always just entrees to manipulation and invalidation so that they can save face in their failure by putting you down or blaming you

They want an emotional response so they can call you nuts. A rational one so they can tell other people you were overbearing or uptight and unreasonable - any ammo they can use to put blame back on you in the court of public opinion so they don’t seem like the problem

They’re basically whining and pleading and demanding- Let me abuse/ humiliate you one final time- so I can leave with a clear conscience that I shit on you last/ put you in your place. It’s a power play and a plea for one final act of dominance over you.

Deny them this opportunity.
