Okay ladies you asked and I’m here!! To be honest, I don’t have a solid hand care routine. I mostly focus on keeping the skin, nails, and cuticles healthy and moisturized enough so that they won’t need much extra care in the first place. But this is what I’ve been doing:

Moisturize regularly, even when my hands don’t feel dry. I use thick hand creams and body lotion even if my skin isn’t cracked. I like ingredients like Shea butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil, things that contain vitamin E. I actually have a designated vitamin e oil that I use a couple times a week. I got a cheap bottle on Amazon. It’s especially important to moisturize after showering and more frequently the more often you wash your hands or go outside. Just make it a habit.
I used two coats of “Ballet Slippers” from Essie for a natural but polished (literally) look. This was my first time doing that and I love it! Any sheer pink, nude, white, or clear polish accomplishes the same thing. Otherwise I use a seasonal color. I also use decals sometimes if I want a sparkle, but I don’t use acrylic or press on nails because I prefer to maintain the strength and shine of my natural nails. No shame if you like a bomb ass acrylic look though because SLAY QWEEN💅
I take collagen supplements to help with skin, hair, and nail health. I have a skin condition and also concerns with gut health so I take the collagen for that, but it certainly seems to keep my nails strong, too. They’re very thick and never crack. I’m a bit of a nutrition nerd and also eating vitamin c helps your body’s collagen production.
This might sound weird but I also just rub plain coconut oil into my hands. Usually after showering or before bed. All the moisturizing and vitamin E really keeps the skin and cuticles smooth and healthy.
I’m a skin care junkie and when I’m doing my routine on my face, I apply all products with my hands (I feel that cotton pads waste product) and rub them into my hands when I’m done. So my hands get all the moisturizing toner, vitamin c serum, hyaluronic acid, creams, etc. that my face gets. Ingredients that help skin retain moisture, heal sun damage, and “glow.”
As for trimming and cuticle care I stick with the basics. I keep them at a length that I like and I feel elongates the look of my hands and doesn’t get in the way either. I push back my cuticles only if one tears or something damages it. My nails aren’t filed at all here but if you want to file them to a nice oval shape that can create a very classic and put together look, too. The trick is to find a shape and length that looks good on YOU and makes you happy and you’ll feel beautiful which will show😄

It just makes so much sense. In my experience 'Boyfriends' hate choosing jewellery for gf's, they send their Moms and or Sisters to do the work, or do a horrible job at taste and sizing, it is frankly embarrassing that we have been putting up with this ritual for so long. Whats even worse is my dad is actually good at choosing jewellery and he used to buy me necklaces, and braclets etc, but he even gave the job to his latest partner and she has horrible taste.

If a Man can choose (on his own) and buy a ring better than one I have chosen and bought myself, then sure he can be in the running..
