More specifically, I think that men intuitively understand that they're not a necessity to women in the same way women are a necessity to men. Being included in a woman's life means that a man has to add value to it in different ways, since he has no inherent value himself.

This expectation enrages them, as they exist for women and can't live without them but are too prideful to put in effort to make themselves worthy enough for women's approval.

They despise the fact that they're prisoners of their sexuality and the beggars of nature, and they take it out on women. They hate themselves and externalise this hatred.
