Its all from feeling low value like you have to prove yourself to a man. The wifey try-out. Either you go in feeling like that or they manipulate you into feeling that way.

To watch this is saddening but if we're honest, lots of women give their manfriends the care you'd give a toddler and cope by telling themselves "he needs me" and turning the man's laziness and demanding behaviour into a brag. The "nobody can look after him as well as I do" stuff.

I worked with a beautiful, clever, competent and ambitious woman who had fallen into this trap through low self esteem.

She was so self conscious of her weight even though she was one of the lucky women who carried it excellently. She was a beauty at any size. She did that hollow bragging, rushing home to him every evening.

After 10 years, unmarried to a man who required more care than her child and contributed less than the kid, she decided to lose the weight and took up serious fitness training. Her confidence soared. She kicked him right out because he wasn't contributing anything.
