I'd joined this sub back in January whilst in a situationship. And never looked back.

I want to say thank you to everyone who's contributed to the wiki, and all you wonderful women in this sub!

I started talking to this other guy amongst many others (at the time) in January. Went on dates and walks and had the greatest time.

Eventually in February, he'd asked for commitment and asked to be exclusive. I let him know that my end goal was marriage and was pleased to know that we both were on the same page.

Now in April we've been talking about the bigger life goals, our aspirations and what we wanted out of life. And he'd asked if I would be on board to marry him.

To me everything is a little hasty, but it feels right. However, I want to keep my head on my shoulders and do this the right way.

I'm a little tacken aback about how sure he is, of me. How he says he doesn't want to "lose" me, amongst other things that stand out, and how he says once married he's planning to be the best spouse and still not let me go, and how divorce isn't something he's looking for and "divorce is not on the table" to quote him.

Those things do give me a little solace, although they're a peculiar choice of words.

So, what I'm planning to do is drag the engagement period as long as I can - and not let him move in with me until post marriage (I'm getting a place of my own at the end of this month, i left my old place ).

Sorry for the gushing post, I'm running through a series of emotions now... Some wary and cautious, but also elated and happy... Idk

:)
