Bumble has sucked for me and just further confirmed my belief in FDS principles. Never had a good conversation on there, it was always me asking questions and getting nothing in return. No man on there ever asked me out.

I agree to a certain extent. I had a match that I let lapse which he renewed for another 24 hrs. Turns out he's alright so far... he's planned all our dates and pays for everything. I'm following FDS and it's working he hasn't even had a kiss from me yet and we've been seening each other twice a week since the end of January. Wish me luck!

Eh, I disagree. I think Bumble can be used the same way as any other dating app. I definitely had men pursue me on it.

How I used it:

- Swiping only on men I find attractive (not reading profiles)

- Out of the men I match, I look at profiles for ones that seem compatible with me.

- I send a smile emoji or a gif. Simple and does not involve any thought.

--->> At this point, the guy is responsible for really starting the convo and pursuing.

I found my boyfriend on Bumble. I think it works.

Unpopular opinion here. I was brought together with my fiancé on Bumble... we had met twice in real life before though (story in my comment history if you care to dig).

This was before I had even heard of FDS. However, after we matched and started conversing I was unknowingly following a lot of the strategies.

I truly was/ am in a spot where I had so much going on I didn’t give a shit if he wanted me or not. Even though I made the initial first reach out, he was the one who asked for an in person date.

I think OLD can work but only if you are incredibly thorough about vetting them. Basically if you are mentally in a great place where you are putting yourself first, taking no shit, etc I do think it can be a good tool to expand your options for meeting someone.

Deleted my Bumble after an unfortunate experience of dating a LVM whom I met in that online platform. Unfortunately, it has evolved into just a hook-up app. When I stopped OLD, I found that I had more peace of mind.
