This is something I learned the hard way, and it is so true and I couldn't have stated it better, but it was a feeling. After my last awful relationship, I told myself to never get that way again, especially about a dude. You will lose your light doing this with LVM.

I needed this today too. I’m trying to find an appropriate way to say goodbye to a HVM I will never see again. He’s married and there’s nothing inappropriate between us, it’s like a service provider/customer relationship where I am the customer. But I was in an abusive relationship and seeing that there were real HVMs in the world in him gave me the strength to get free. As well as just being his high value self and being trustworthy in his job made an important part of my transition to getting away possible and I’m extremely grateful to him. He’s also very attractive! I wouldn’t even want him to hit on me because that would just prove that he was actually low value. He even knows that I find him attractive. My ZVM ex (can you get minus value?) told him in front of me while we were still together. But he has never used that to embarrass me, flirt with me or even made a point that he doesn’t like me like that. He’s just been courteous, professional, friendly and honourable. I’m working very hard on NOT being head over heels in love with him. I’m happy that I’m moving on and I will use him as a standard for any man who comes into my life. I’m just struggling with how to let him know I appreciate him without gushing and making him uncomfortable. I know I need to focus that love on myself to level up. It’s just hard.

Yep. So much so, that it took me a few years removed from abuse to realize I was profoundly depressed and needed to seek therapy. I was so caught up in appeasing scrotes that I had no time nor energy to actually know the depth of my depression. I knew something was wrong, but couldn't quite put a finger on it at the time.

Emotional energy is a finite resource. The more of ourselves we give to others, the less we have left to give to ourselves. In a society that has nothing to offer women but the audacity, it is only ourselves who have our backs in the end.
