He doesn't have his girlfriend of one year on his social media. Like they're not friends on social media at all, and people are actually saying that it's normal?

You'll add someone from your gym on facebook, but not your girlfriend? Where the fuck is the logic?

Also, this isn't a slip of the tongue. He specifically thought his ex was the one who threw him a surprise party and then goofed when he realized he was wrong. Plus, he was sexting his ex at the beginning of this new relationship. And everyone is telling the wronged gf to just communicate that it upsets her to be cheated on and mistaken for the person he cheated on her with?????

These people act like ending a romantic relationship is choosing to start a nuclear war with Iran. "But have you exhausted all possibilities? This happened to me. An Ex called me by his ex gf’s name one night and I wanted to be the “cool girl” and let it go. I believe his excuse that his “head injuries” from sports affected his memory. But then I noticed him texting her all the time. One day when I finally snooped his phone, there was a message between the two of them about their sex life.

Let my story be a lesson. When there’s smoke, there’s fire. And listen to your instinct - 99% of the time it’s right.

Just checked out the comments (post was deleted) and DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW WHAT CONTEXT CLUES ARE LIKE DID U ALL NOT GO TO 1ST GRADE!? Without even checking this poor abused woman's post history, in the very post itself he was cheating on gf with the ex at the very beginning!? That ALONE provides CONTEXT that he can't be trusted. All these idiots are commenting "oh teehee I did that a couple times but I hadn't talked to my ex in 20 years, so this man who cheated on you with this specific woman just slipped up!!"

And on top of that she doesn't have access to her own bfs social media!? Red flag! You should at least be friends on fb or insta pretty soon after the first date, or before, so you can see what his behavior is really like.

Something I discovered hanging out on this sub, the relationship subs, and reflecting on my own experiences and others' I know IRL, when this kinda shit happens, 9 out of 10 times the red flags were there from the start. This is why you dump someone at the first sign of a red flag (also why you need a good list of red flags)

Communication is a two way street, you can't communicate with someone who doesn't respect you, doesn't want to listen to your opinion and doesn't care about hurting you. The only logical solution from dealing with such a partner is to leave and find a partner you can communicate with.
