Tumblr has the hottest takes!! This is why people(men and pickmes) drag Tumblr through the mud. Tumblr is one of the only places where anonymity is considered a good thing and no one wants to be identified. Because if you have radfem or radfem leaning viewpoints anywhere else people will doxx you for it. Also it is that whole thing where whatever teenage girls are doing society hates it because they view it as lesser than and silly/stupid. But I'm a pretty active radblr and all the women i follow have the best, most thought out, NUANCED think pieces. I can't find that anywhere else besides here! And FDS came second to Tumblr for me. This is so eloquently written, thank you! Men treat women like a commodity, there are multiple industries based around the objectification of women. Then get outraged if we have thoughts and feelings that don’t align with their control over us. Even the ones who appear to be HVM often trade in the subjugation of women somehow.

That last line is so important - that we’ve done nothing to deserve the treatment we get. I know men flip the victim/perp on a personal level all of the time as a gaslighting tool, but on top of that, they do it to us an entire gender. Men have tried (and succeeded) in convincing women that we somehow DESERVE the treatment we get from men, when we absolutely do not. That’s where I see the benefit of FDS - finally a place to unravel the lies men and society have perpetuated to keep women oppressed.
