I feel like she is someone who is not rich pretending to be rich and trying to make money off of people who don't know any better.

I'm based out of the Bay Area (tech millionaires and billionaires everywhere) and know quite a few rich people, she does not know the shibboleths and it's obvious.

I watched some of her videos back when she first got started. She seems to focus a lot on "You can't expect anything from a rich man. You have to be self-sufficient. You have to not need emotional support or have moods. You have to be supportive and pleasant and fun."

So I wrote her off as "Oh, she's just trying to teach people how to be a good sugar baby."

Her fashion advice helped me level up my wardrobe and "presentation," but I was told by someone here she is a scammer. Essentially she is not rich from dating wealthy men, she is rich from shilling her "classes" to other women. I believe in making your own $, but that information certainly turned me off. ☹

Edit: also, she says not to wear T shirts ever. Even at home. 😆

No, just because someone agrees with a few points FDS makes doesnt mean all of their advice is good or even okay. Im not into being submissive or acting a certain way.. She just sounds like a typical conservative who wants old fashioned traditional gender roles (women submitting just because man buys her something) mixed with being a sugar baby, thats not what FDS is about at all, to me at least.

Same with some hypergamy gurus like Shera. I believe in dating up and not settling, but some of these "guru" come out as manipulative and sociopathic to me, while others focus too much in being what (rich) men want just to bag them.

Also bear in mind that Anna was living together with her alleged provider for at least 5 years before he married her (allegedly out of pressure) which is against what she preaches and it made no sense for her to be teaching women how to get a provider to marry if she couldn't do it herself.

I like some of her tips though and she seems nice, but I'm always wary of some of these "hypergamy gurus", specially those who seem to be trying to make out an image of themselves that is not true just to sell their product.

I enjoy some of her videos, especially her earlier videos on elegant styling, but she's not what she claims to be and her advice should be taken in the context of what she actually is.

Anna Bey used to be a stripper, escort, aspiring sugar baby, and "yacht girl." If you're not familiar with what a yacht girl is, it's kind of like an escort who gets paid in vacations instead of cash. She's been interviewed about this before. (BTW - that's a great article if you ever look at those beautiful girls on instagram who seem to just travel all over the world with no job and feel jealous. Don't feel jealous. The cost of that lifestyle is letting a different Saudi prince shit on you every week.)

She was hoping to be sugar baby, a spoiled girlfriend, marry rich and become a "kept woman." She was not particularly successful in this lifestyle. Her husband is fairly well-off, but he's not super wealthy. He's like, a mid-level banker or something.

Most of her money actually comes from the courses she sells. Which makes perfect sense. If she was actually in "high society" now, why would she need to price her courses so high - surely she doesn't need the money? Why would she be willing to admit that she was a gold-digging social climber, and turn it into both a brand and a business? Surely that wouldn't be well-received by her "high society" peers, or her "high society" husband.

She couches it in careful language, but her advice is actually aimed at women like who she used to be: Young women with limited education who are looking to be "professional gold diggers." Except that she wasn't even a particularly successful gold digger. While I have to give her props for her savvy business acumen - her advice should be taken in that context.

She’s kind of a poser. She lives a decent life but it isn’t as extreme as she portrays. She used to be an escort and cashed out with a mid range finance guy so comfortable but not a baller or anything like that. So yes she has money and married well but is a bit of a hypocrite take what you like and leave the rest and take everything with a grain of salt personally I find it cringe that she is essentially shaming women for not being “elegant” and “conservative” when she was anything but and isn’t bagging billionaires like she claims she can teach you but there are some gems in her vids.

The main goal of her videos is to show how women can bag a rich guy. Hence the super sexist overtones of being feminine and looking/acting perfect all the time. Plus with the overtone of being a trophy and house wide. From a males perspective that is what men want and hence she is catering towards the male gaze and contributing to the patriarchy. Let’s say you manage to marry a rich guy, what then? You have to keep up this act of perfection and probably be okay with him cheating. Rich does not mean HVM. Some people marry for money and don’t care about anything else and that’s fine if that’s what you want. But if you want to marry for love then don’t follow her advice.

I like some of her style tips, they’ve helped me move out of my hoodie and jeans aesthetic into something that garners more respect. I also liked her advice on being more elegant at home. I definitely tend towards leggings and old t shirts with holes in at home, but I found that when I tried a bit harder to wear nice fabrics and treat myself with more respect when I’m alone, I felt a lot better about myself.

I hate the bit about looking good for your man at home, that’s some 1950s, internalised misogyny nonsense! I also ignore all the stuff about blending in with rich people, and how to find a rich man 🤮

not a fan. there are definitely worse people to get advice from, and if you enjoy her videos i’m not saying you need to stop watching them, but don’t stress about following her advice 100% if some things don’t resonate with you. and don’t waste a single cent of your hard earned money on her courses.

i doubt there’s any secret information in her courses that couldn’t be found online for free. i’m always wary of “relationship gurus” who claim to have wealthy partners funding their lifestyles, but still charge hundreds or thousands of dollars for their advice.

Sometimes she mentions this more clearly than others, but the videos you’re talking about are all predicated on the fact that you’re trying to present a very specific, curated image to other people 24/7. Mentally insert “if you want to look and feel like a sophisticated professional at all times...” before everything she says and it suddenly makes more sense. When she says “don’t wear t-shirts” she doesn’t mean that nobody should ever wear them under any circumstances, but rather that it doesn’t fit the character archetype of Elegant Lady.

I think it makes more sense to treat her channel like professional networking, business fashion, and business etiquette content with occasional dating advice thrown in.

I like some of her content but definitely don’t agree with all of it. I recently was trying to learn more about her backstory and found some video where the woman asserts she’s a scammer. Watched the video and the woman had no evidence, she was just mad that Anna is selling an expensive class during the pandemic. I don’t see Anna’s classes as a scam, but then again I wouldn’t buy into them myself.

I think she's fabulous. I bought her course, and absolutely loved it. Lotsssss of in-depth knowledge and insider tips for someone who is interested in being their best elegant self. Style takes many forms, but elegance is timeless, and that is what she teaches. The focus is NOT on bagging a rich dude. If you want to bag a rich dude, she tells you the real skinny on that as well, and where to find them. She talks about the different kind of wealthy societies, and the differences between them. It's not all about that, though. And the information is not about being a sugar baby. It's for women of all ages. She also tells her own story honestly.

The course had many modules and hours of video, and it's pretty much impossible to absorb all the knowledge at once, so it's nice to be able to go back to it. Some of the things she talks about are networking, forming female friendships, manners and etiquette, fashion, avoiding time wasters, and generally how to present your best elegant self. She also talks about how men should be providers, since women provide so much in relationships that is taken for granted. It's all there in one place, presented well.

She isn't a scammer, although some have tried to spread some nasty rumours about her online, with no basis in fact. She's a businesswoman, and she's selling something people want. I've read the Ginie Sayles books, and they don't come close to what Anna's course taught me. She gets lots of hate, and I can see why some would hate her. But the truth is, we do live in a society where we are judged on our presentation. She teaches you how to play the game better. It's all a game, and we're all in it whether we like it or not.
