The fact the draft hasn't been used since Vietnam should be an argument FOR removing/equalizing it. It means that there will never be a lower impact time to address it. Opposing modifying it because of its lack of use is the same mentality as finding an old Jim Crow law on the books and arguing that since it is unenforceable it doesn't need to be removed.

Yeah that is one of the many areas that men are less than equal to the rest of society. The draft should either be scrapped or inclusive to all. To do any less would be misandry. Same with circumcision to clarify I mean male circumcision should be subject to the same protections as the female equivalent.

To be pedantic, the question was phrased "can you think of..." not "are there..." so technically she wasn't incorrect but obviously she doesn't spend much time thinking about men's issues.

Which is so weird for a female politician because surely men are exactly the people you should be thinking about trying to win over.

It does kind of feel like beating a dead horse to say that Kamala Harris was a shit candidate though.

"Legislation over one's body" is an odd framing, anyway. Necessarily, legislation is over one's body, as one acts with one's body (what else could legislation control?)

I think you’re extremely oversimplifying the nuances of politics and viewing this as Democrats vs. Republicans.

The left, as are the right, multifaceted and layered with significant cross-over with each other, especially in the more centrist dimensions.

In fact, there has and always will be times where someone on the left agrees significantly more on something with someone from the right; than they do with fellow liberals who are further to the left than them or even have opposing views on singular issues.

The draft itself, I am not a fan of. But I don't want women and children ever have to defend the country. I'm okay with it that way. I'd only like that it is acknowledged by women and vets need resources.

Men are primarily responsible for safety and security. It's instinctual to us. Women don't understand it at all. The same way men don't understand things about women. And when we try to do things to provide security , we are often criticized for being controlling, when we just want to be heard.

Edit: I don't understand the downvotes. Maybe my point is being misunderstood. Anyone care to explain?
