When you say "I don't understand how MGTOW is good for men, because all I see are negative threads and complaints about women," you are saying something akin to "I don't understand how this hospital is good for health, because all I see are diseases and injuries here."

Welcome to the sub. I was one of the people that responded to one of your posts. You absolutely did the right thing. The thing about MGTOW to remember is that it is all about you.

MGTOW is a choice that guys make because they see the world for what it is and not what it should be. Society poses risk to men because they are men. Laws governing marriage and divorce, family law, DV law, Title IX at university, or workplace law (#MeToo), sentencing, are enforced against men with extreme bias, often causing men to take their own lives.

MGTOW is a life choice, or philosophy, that each individual man lives by that prioritizes himself and his own needs. It's about having goals for one's self in all areas of life and pursuing those goals relentlessly.

MGTOW is not about hate and misogyny. With that said, many men come to MGTOW because of traumatic events, such as yours, and are filled with Red Pilled rage, some of it directed at women. That anger is tolerated on this thread, but is not the main use of this thread.

Instead, MGTOW sub is about men collaborating and supporting each other in their choices to not get married, live with anyone, or agree to adopt and/or submit to taking care of another man's children. And many other life choices.

It is about men finding their own purpose as individuals and becoming successful in all facets of life, despite the understanding that society views them as disposable, and understanding the realization that in western civilization, if you're a man, no help is coming, ever, if you run into problems. So always prioritize your own needs, wants, first and foremost.

In your situation, just understand that most people you are talking to have an agenda for you, especially those close to you. So their opinions are secondary. That is doubly true for people sending you scathing messages on line. They are quick to judge because they don't know or care about you, but their opinions are worthless.

Do what's in your heart. My ex-wife admitted to me 3 months that after we had been married that she had a month-long affair with a college kid. (10 years her junior) I absolutely destroyed my relationship with my family that has never been completely repaired almost 20 years later. Although, happily, I no longer speak to my AWALT of my mother after finally realizing what she did to my father. I should have just got home from work that day, pack as much as my own stuff could fit in my car and drove away...never looking back (except for the divorce proceedings). I'll tell you this, I also find some of the more overt misogyny on this sub off putting. But I think it's an understandable reaction to the sheer volume of mysandry men put up with these days. I don't lash out in that way myself, and I think it's pretty easy to mostly ignore those who do. So I find this sub can occasionally useful as a reality check, or for a good laugh.

You will suffer some PTSD for some time and everything will be an emotional trigger, but it will fade with time and space (if you pray ir will help so much you have no idea).

Forgive her or you will be emotionaly stuck forever and wont be able to construct any meaningful relationship after this.

People are lame and lack empathy, especially under alcohol and peer pressure.

I've been in the MRM blogosphere since 2009 and some atuff will make you disociate from reality (it helped me understand men a bit but made me disociate and hate me and my sex for years until I undeesntood needer side is right in everything).

2 things are able to help a lot in situations like this: 1) look for a good homeopath to give you some dose for trauma and to help you forgive and FORGET, to help you to change your view of this situation you are living for a better perspective of a new future (i think in the us its called naturoprath). 2) counseling (or a diary).

Ps: most of the MRM stuff dont even exist amymore, but a great blog is https://dalrock.wordpress.com/ (good old days he or maryandthedragon would "fight" against hookingupsmart hahaha, or when marriedmansexlife was still a poster in foruns and sites like spearhead and bonnafide still existed).
