Oh my God, since I joined this sub I developed more and more respect for my mother. She’s mid 40s, 120lbs (around 5’10) works 40-60hrs depending on the schedule and house is clean every time, I don’t even remember when my father had to cook his own meal. But I guess her generation in Poland isn’t as screwed up as mine (millennial). She even recently understood and accepted why I don’t want to get married after working with women my age. Seeing her I still believe NAWALT although life teaches me otherwise.

Overlooked point here is that the dude WORKS 12 hours a day. That doesn't just mean he spends a lot of time at work. It also means he spends a lot of time in a structured environment where things don't run to shit all the time. In my work we have things squared away. We plan ahead. I can only imagine what it's like to spend 12 hours a day bringing order and efficiency to your part of the business world, and then to come home to this.

Guys I'm a 40y male, I work 10/11h six days a week I'm single and don't have an house keeper. I cook my meals, I do my laundry and all the cleaning. A couple of months after I ended my 8 years relationship I took a girl home way younger than me and I felt shame that day because the house was not in great shape and she looked in every corner very weirdly and I sensed she was uncomfortable and I felt embarrassed (I don't clean every week the dust :/ and my nemesis is to ironing clothes: I know how but it sucks!)

Two weeks later I went to her place and I understood why she reacted that way: I barely had floor to walk! I refused to sit in the couch because was a messy "thing" and I asked for a chair and she replied if "there's a chair somewhere in the house".

Soon after I've found the MGTOW thing and the expressions. I'm portuguese and I didn't known the exact meaning of "red flag".

Sometimes I laugh when I remember that episode and I say that wasn't a red flag. No, no, no-nonono!! That was a communist parade.
