He cherry picks the worst of this reddit (and true there are some nasty things here) and tries to pass it off as the sole representation of the entire place and everyone here.

If we just keep doing the good stuff he'll either cop to his cherry picking ways or start getting people asking him how he manages to only find the bad stuff.

We are all familiar with Futurelle's schtick - he frequently targets the least prominent and more numerous voices of the men's rights movement (i.e. commenters, redditors) for quote mining, as such people are more likely to issue unguarded statements and are poorly equipped to defend themselves in the public arena.

It should therefore come as no surprise that he pays close attention to this particular sub-reddit, as it is a potential treasure trove of material - it doesn't matter if it's only 0.1% of the membership engaging in misogynistic commentary, or that the comments in question are being downvoted into oblivion; it's still more than enough material to keep Futurelle in business indefinitely.

Edit: I'm not saying the man is justified in his intellectual dishonesty; just that if one is going to go about searching for examples with which to discredit a movement, it makes sense to search in the place with the largest number of examples; ergo, Futurelle's sampling of this sub-reddit. Desist with your downvotery!

The sad part is that theres plenty for him to cherry pick. Legitimately angry men create an open opportunity for trashy egomaniacs like Paul Elam to shit all over the place in the name of "controversy", giving manboobz all the shitty quotes he could ask for. Toddler tantrums get Elam the attention he craves. In pro wrestling terms, Elam is playing "the heel" in this act.

Both sides pretend to hate each other and actually want to fuck. They couldnt live without each other.

Like all such dysfunctional relationships, this comes from deep seated sexual inadequacy. Manboobz does this because he's into being spanked and pissed on but he doesnt have the spine to ask a dominatrix to fulfill his buried desires. Elam does it because he has a secret alter ego named Paulina who likes to dress in lacy baby doll tafetta dresses. It makes him act extra "macho" to void the shame, after he scrubs the makeup out of his stubble.

People with healthy relationships dont overcompensate the way those 2 do. Nothing wrong with kink of course, its the way they express it thats fucked up.
