Okay, how do you propose 'tackling' the problem of male violence?

When we looked at young black men shooting each other senselessly, we realized it's not because of an inherent flaw, as some people believed, but because they needed help.

When we looked at the rate of alcoholism amongst the indigenous, we realized it's not because of an inherent flaw, as some people believed, but because they needed help.

However, when people like her look at the rate of violence amongst men, all they see is an inherent flaw. Men can't need help because we're the oppressors and any change in that narrative threatens the social power of feminists, despite the fact that this narrative requires the dehumanization of men.

Men can't be violent because of intergenerational trauma caused by post-traumatic stress induced by the violence society expected us to perform. It can't be because of a lack of emotional support, or that we're actively discouraged from being nurturing as children. It couldn't possibly be due to gender expectations.

To people like this, it's axiomatic.

Men are violent because they're men.

Just like some people believed that black men were violent because they were black, or the indigenous had a high rate of alcoholism because they were indigenous.

It's the definition of regression but it's okay, because whatever you do to your oppressor is justified.
