It's funny because while I have seen guys get angry at rejection, it was never more than the typical "well f*** you too b****" type of reaction. But even then I've seen FAR more women get PHYSICALLY abusive by throwing drinks and/or slapping the guy along with the verbal abuse like shaming and claiming that guy is gay, etc.

I think the stats you calculated are wrong. I agree, the number would be EXTREMELY low, BUT we don't know how many of the 106 million actually got asked out. We would first need to determine the number of women who got asked on a date (or something to that affect), and then use that to determine how likely a woman would be to be murdered by someone actually asking them out.

But I agree overall with what you're saying.

My cheating ex who I genuinely loved waa granted a restraining order against me for trying to even have a single conversation with her about why she abruptly ran out on me and ghosted me to an affair. The judge violated my right to even have a defense in court and ran the whole court case with only one party present believing my exs fabricated lies. It destroyed my career and social life. And frankly I have alot more to say about how my ex became abusive in the process of leaving by doing shit like falsely accusing me of violent crimes against her which destroy yes s my social life and then smearing my social media online to get trolls to harass me (which they did for years) all because I was hurt and writing about it and she wanted to make fun of the pain she caused me. My whole life fell apart and I went from having just gotten my masters degree to being homeless for over 12+ years. My social life is ruined and I lost every friend I ever had. Career ruined. Family ruined. I dont know how to protect myself from her and novody is helping. I just get told to get over it.

there's no reason to give an inch on this utterly made up "issue". the number of women murdered by men due to nothing but a rejection every year is somewhere between 0 and 1 and I'm not going to be convinced otherwise without some REAL statistics based on facts.

the overall point is valid though, Feminism hinges on manufacturing issues where none exist, telling us that women live in constant fear of violence while they simultaneously go about their lives and behave in ways that look like they have no such fear in the slightest.

It's not an agenda based in honesty.

I dont think the issue is limited to feminism. I think that the internet and access to information is far to abundant. Meaning you might be in the safest city in the world but if you're reading an article from Miami, FL about another women getting sexually-assaulted and reflect that into their city. People focus on national or global headlines that have little to no impact on their local community.

I don't see anything in the stats referencing rejection or lack there of as a factor, so you cannot draw that conclusion from those stats. Murder isn't the only form of violence. Assaults, beatings, rapes would need to be included too.

Whilst everyone has the right to choose not to engage with another, if we are too selective about who we interact with or apply trivial reasons to that selection process, society just ends up with two large groups of frustrated people as a consequence, with the potential for that frustration to spill over into expression and harm to others.

Theres a book i read a long time ago which said this:

Unfortunately, women tend to believe other women because of in group bias, and because they ten to be more emotional people. What i mean by that is that a logical argument or fact means less than an emotional one.

I myself am aware of the kind of things you said, an anecdote is when i asked some women why they felt unsafe in general...and none of them actually had an answer. This was a group of about ten, but none of them could articulate any reason. Not even a bad reason, just none at all.

Now some of this might be they were mostly a bit more meek than average person, i would say, but being unable to come up with a single reason, and i knew several bought into the feminist bandwagon told me that it was the fear mongering, they couldn't remember the words or 'facts' presented, but they remembered the feeling.

I went through the numbers with the claim 'all men are violent' thing too, its also astronomically low, since violent criminals are a subset of crime and a minority at that. Unfortunately the larger your population, the more likely it seems.

If you looked up the actual statistics why do you need to estimate anything? You have an exact number for women murdered by men, but then go into amorphous "portions" and "estimates". You should be more definitive in your numbers.

You are also overly focused on murder. What would your numbers be if you opened your analyses up to things like harassment, stalking, and physical violence? Experiencing something like this even one time colors any future interactions because it opens up the person to the possibility of it happening again.

Being in danger means a lot more than just being murdered. If you want to discount somebody's fears and experiences you need to at least listen to them and treat them fairly.

This is a pretty bad argument, and its a good example of misusing statistics, solely because 'murder' is just the far, far end of a range of what could happen. Back when I used to work at a bar, we had lots, and I mean lots, of situations where men got incredibly nasty and aggressive with women when they rejected them. It was probably the #1 security issue we had at the bar, next to bar fights obviously, but those were usually mutual. We never had a literal murder, but we had lots of situations with men getting up in their face, cursing them, insulting them, splashing drinks at them, harassing them the entire night etc. In only a few cases a year was there more extreme situations, like stalking or sexual assault. Most of the time the guys took rejection as an insult against them, instead of just the women not wanting to do anything that night, so it was like a hit on their ego, and they wanted to embarrass and hurt the women for that.

Now, I want to emphasize something: these were not normal men who did stuff like this. Probably maybe 5 out of 100 guys at the bar would have it in them to do shit like this. But these were also the types of guys who go around flirting with half the women they see, so it ends up affecting a huge amount of the women, even if many of the guys wouldn't notice it. Hell, many of the guys who worked at the bar didn't notice it. I only had to notice it because I doubled as security which often meant I was the person diving into these situations.

It absolutely made sense to be pretty scared of guys flirting with you in that context. If I was a girl, I would have been too. This was the late 1990s. You cant make the argument that these women who were terrified of these men were radicalized by social media feminism telling them to be scared.

Murder is not the only negative reaction to rejection. Many people don't handle rejection well, especially when alcohol is involved.

Many might just call a woman a fat bitch and walk away. Might follow her for too long making her scared.

Some women might call men pansies or pussies for rejecting them. Or question their sexuality.

Pretending the only negative and scary reaction to rejection is murder is naive.

If you've met drunk humans, you know that they don't always take rejection very well and they can react unpredictably which is scary.

Trying to downplay the seriousness of issues women deal with doesn't help men in any way.

The numbers are certainly not outrageous but there has been an alarming increase in such cases. I live in Puerto Rico and we have been going through a pretty rough patch since 2017 (the passing of disastrous hurricanes), a disgusting and corrupt government in which the governor had to resign after massive protests in 2019, earthquakes at the beginning of 2020 which displaced and peft homeless thousands of people and, of course, the pandemic has exacerbated murders, mental health problems and domestic violence has increased dramatically which is why the current government decreed an emergency state because of all the women killed by their partners or exes.

As i said, the numbers arent horrible but they were increasing alarmingly. And i can understand that it may be caused by all the shit we've been going through but i also think that its happening because some people dont respect other people's lives , there is a ton of insensitivity spreaded accross the world and some men feel so entitled to even kill a woman just because she rejected him or decided to end the relationship which is something that needs to be talked about..

Actually the probabilty of a woman being target of murder due to rejection is not a constant fix number as the one you mentioned above, it is dependant of the number of times a woman has a relationship of someone . In the following calculations I show the right way to proceed :
taking your data into account, you mentioned 82 women were killed by an equivalent number of men due to rejection, for idealization , we assume the number of men inside the american population to be equally the same as the number of women. So the probability that a man will commit homicide in such situations is 7,73e-7. We assume that women only indugle in monoamorous relationships, so the probability of being killed after a particular relationship is 7,73e-7. The probability of being killed after a particular couple of relationships is the probability that she survived in the first one and unfortunately killed in the second one, which is the product of 7,73e-7 and 1- 7,73e-7 which is 7.729e-7 even smaller than the first one, yet, her overall probability to be killed by a killer man due to rejection, is the sum of all the probabilities to get killed after all the relationships , assmuing that each relationship is indepedant, and the number of man is large enough to assume that the probability of picking up a killer guy is constant. which at the end makes the formula
p = 7.73e-7 * (1 + 0.999999263 + 0.999999263^2 + 0.999999263^3.... 0.999999263^n)
= 7.73e-7 * (1-0.999999263^(n+1))/ 7.73e*-7
= 1-0.999999263^(n+1)
as you can see when n tends to infinity p approaches 1 , but luckily the number never reaches 1 because after some large n , the formula of p itself will change and the probability will start to decrease, for the sheer fact that the probability of choosing a creepy guy will decrease after each picking up process, since a woman will likely choose not to start again with a previous guy. which is a barely possible thing, because a single woman cannot have such a large number of relationships in her life.
