What that woman did is among the most evil, vile, duplicitous things a human can do to another.

So I ask you this - Which is worse:

A) Taking someone's life in a split second by murdering them B) Taking someone's life away slowly over decades - AND their money, time, care, emotions, attention, and effort.

Most reasonable people would agree that these are both very VERY wrong. But when you compare them, they are not all that different.

If only the courts would treat it as such.

Obviously the men is right. There is a huge legal injustice going on: When a women claims you are the biological father of her child, you are rightfully held accountable for your deeds if it turns out to be so. However if the father is not the biological father he cannot hold the women accountable for her deeds.

If we decide that we legally enforce fatherhood by someone being the biological father, a father should also be able to denounce fatherhood if it turns out that he is not the biological father.

This is why paternity testing should be part of the birthing process. Before you sign a legal document (birth certificate) they should dna test the dad. It’s not an large expense and there is literally no reason not to.

Mandatory paternity tests need to become a thing, no doubt about it. The only argument against it is that "paternity tests are expensive", made by people who have nk idea how economy functions - mandatory paternity tests would mean all babies born are tested, meaning millions of tests a year, meaning the cost per test would massively drop because of the higher demand that could be met effortlessly. It would cost next to nothing. And even if it cost a lot, it would be worth it.

It isn't exactly rocket science to figure out their divorce filing date and the age of the child to find out if its YEARS or under 1 year when he likely found out and left. Just beyond sloppy work to try and make it seem like he raised this kid until she was 15 or something.

I keep trying to come up with a way to deal with situations like these but they all would be counterproductive and draconian in the long run. Unless the mother has the resources to raise the child on her own, then she becomes a burden on the system and everyone in the country has to pay for the child, and that's not fair to everyone else.

The best idea I can come up with is run a paternity test on all children when they are born. They are ~$100 if you do it yourself, although I'm sure a hospital would mark that up tremendously. Frankly, they should make it a civic duty for all men to do, maybe teach them this during sex ed or something. Just spitballing here.

For me I'm torn on this, because he shouldn't have to pay for a child that isn't his, but at the same time this is what my father did to me (though difference was is that I was his child) so I can't exactly say that what he did was right in the grand scheme of things, bit I can say that for his health and the health of the family, not only leaving the child but to also dodge child support like this, how could you raise a child that you know isn't yours and is from an affair that your wife had while you were still Married, how could you look at that child and not be filled with some sort of anger, and that's not just a male mentality, that is a human mentality, that child will forever be a reminder to him that he wasn't enough for his wife so she went to someone else behind his back, sure it sucks that the child has to go through this but maybe it'll make him a better person and see what type of a shit human being his mother is

Short term thinking. He'll still eventually have his wages garnished and also his bank account seized regardless of which country he's in.

He just sold everything in America and moved back in with his parents in south America. It's not like he will no longer owe back-due support once his county enters a trade agreement. How does he think this will end?
