Huffington post implies r/mensrights to be misogynist and inspiring to rapists

Huffington moderates my posts, so I'll log it here.

Meredith Bennett-Smith you try to discredit r/mensrights? You should explain yourself further, or are people who fight for Mens Rights by definition misogynists and bad people? Have you actually been to the subReddit, have the following even crossed your mind?:-

Is a man who has not seen his kids for 3 years, despite the court orders, a misogynist by campaigning to change the system?
Is a man who has had boiling water thrown in his crotch a misogynist for pointing out that women also commit DV? Should this man not share his stories with others who have suffered?
Should men keep their mouths shut about the horrific Brian Banks story, he spent 6 years in jail because his rape accuser lied?
Should we simply ignore the 'Dads are stupid' tone of contemporary advertising?
Should we simply ignore Sharon Osborne, on prime time TV, unapologetically laughing at and condoning a man having his penis cut off; with the female audience laughing hilariously?
Should men not discuss the fact the that the M/F ratio for college graduates in 42/58, and raise concerns about the education system?
Are college men misogynist for wanting to even discuss the Government mandated changes in campus rape and sexual assault regulations? It sort of affects them you know.

Are these and other topics outside the realm of civilized discourse in your opinion and an act of Misogyny? Ms. Bennett-Smith you are eager to call others to account, perhaps you would like to explain your attitude to Men's Rights and r/menrights where its issues are discussed.

Reddit is a notoriously male-dominated forum. . . . Given its reputation, the site may seem less than appropriate as a forum for effective dialogue.

Because an "appropriate forum" would be one with feminist supervision, no doubt. Like HuffPo.

Several of the top posts on that thread were from women who admitted raping men. Funny the HuffPo didn't mention that.

Reddit subgroups include /r/mensrights and the misogynistic /r/chokeabitch

I see what they did there, grouping men's rights together with chokeabitch (never heard of this one before.. looks like a porn sub).

Don't worry. This is completely groundless. The guy who made the "rapist thread" has no relation to men's rights, and everyone just wants to paint Reddit as a cesspool of misogyny, because it makes them money.

If they had any relation to each other, the journalist would have named names and made all the evidence conspicuous. This person's just another Jessica Valenti.

Wouldn't tracking down people who make posts claiming to be rapists a violation of the first amendment? Otherwise wouldn't the entirety of /r/trees be at risk for arrest?

The article was bad enough but to point towards the Jezebel website as a valid/good source of information is sheer insanity.

If you read the article what's really going on is a propaganda piece. The author points to obvious troll subs like beatingwomen or in this case "r/chokeabitch" most of which are made by SRS users and tries to claim /r/mensrights is in the same boat.
