Whenever you bring up how most murder victims are men, feminists say "oh but women are killed for being women and men are killed simply over mere disagreements". This is all bullshit.

Women kill husbands a lot, but often get away with it more. Many were not responding to abuse.

First, we need to realize that women who kill husbands are more common than people realize. Women who kill just get away with it more. Women often use sneakier methods, like poisoning or hiring hitmen. For example, when looking at multiple offender killings, the victims had 4x more husbands than wives killed, according to FBI statistics. Many women probably often hire hitmen, and as long as they don't rat her out, she's walking free. Men who hire hitmen could get caught more, because being male means the hitmen are more bold about ratting him out because police will believe a man would hire hitmen, and people don't suspect a woman. Many women also might poison people, which explains why poison killing offenders are disproportionately women (almost 40% of offenders who are caught). Most are men, but that's because men get caught more. If a woman does it, people will assume it was an accident or overdose because people don't suspect a woman. Men ages 35-49 are the most likely to be killed by a spouse, but are also the most likely to die of drug poisoning. Older people also are overrepresented among poison murder victims.

It's possible that women who kill husbands by poisoning or hiring hitmen were far less likely to be abused than women who kill with guns/knives. While statistics show husband killers often use guns/knives, this is because it only looks at those who get caught. That's why it might seem like many women are responding to abuse, but some evidence shows that many women who claimed to be abused may have lied to get sympathy. Multiple studies have shown that among women who do get caught, many were not abused, and often killed for financial gain or concealment of other crime.

Men who kill wives don't kill them for being a woman, and often were generally criminals.

Many men who kill wives had criminal records, including for domestic assault, non-domestic assault or sometimes vandalism. Even a lot of evidence shows that women who kill husbands often had criminal records as often as women who kill in other circumstances. These offenders aren't necessarily sexist, but just criminals, and if they are sexist, it could be that sexism makes them less reluctant towards attacking a woman, but not because they're attacking her as some anti-female hate crime.

Intimate partner homicide affects both genders and sexual orientations.

Believe it or not, but statistics show that in the U.S., gay male couples have, by a long shot, the highest intimate partner homicide rates, but lesbian couples had the lowest. Lesbians were more likely to kill a partner than straight women, but straight women had higher homicide rates in relationships because they're victimized more because of all male wife killers (nonetheless, this is probably due to data only showing people who get caught, and straight women and probably even lesbians are good at getting away with it). Even when looking at Australia, they found higher rates of intimate partner homicide in same-sex couples. They found that same-sex couples kill for similar reasons as opposite-sex couples. Men who kill wives typically do it over jealousy, rage, suspected infidelity or argument. Many husband killers have those motives and these are common motives among same-sex intimate partner homicide offenders.
