"Stony Brook’s Kimmel said that mindset echoes other parts of the current political atmosphere. “Part of the general political context of this is what I call ‘aggrieved entitlement,’” Kimmel said, a stance he described as, “we’re entitled to go anywhere we want, at any time we want, and when people try to restrict that access, we feel like we’re the ones aggrieved.” More garbage from Kimmel.

Men have been perfectly happy for centuries with women-only spaces; what is happening now is that they are beginning to fight back.

For an example of "aggrieved entitlement" see feminists attempt to gain membership in Augusta National Golf Club.

“we’re entitled to go anywhere we want, at any time we want, and when people try to restrict that access, we feel like we’re the ones aggrieved.”

How is that different from the way feminists view what women are entitled to?

[–]fengpi 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's different because feminists' intentions are pure while men's intentions are wicked.

[–]JStheHammer 15 points16 points17 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm surprised that feminists would be discriminating since they belive in equality.

neutered men

Fuck Kimmel, he's a feminist douche that no one should listen to.

And corporate America remains male-dominated: Men still run 95 percent of S&P 500 companies and hold most corporate board seats.

And America's poverty pipeline remains male-dominated: Men still constitute 95% of prison inmates and 80% of homeless people with virtually no opportunity for shelters of any kind.

When men succeed, it's per se proof of institutional sexism and patriarchy.

When men fail, it's because we need to be more like women (implying that they are inherently better).

[–]HiredMind 22 points23 points24 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I propose a new rule: do not link directly to articles that attack us. If anti-male articles show high readership numbers, we'll just get more of them. Let's not feed the beast, okay?

Use http://archive.is/

Thank you.

I keep forgetting to turn on my vpn and add block when I'm on the Reddit ap.

Ergo reading from this sub benefits the journalists i do not want supported.

[–]_pulsar 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I've been advocating for this for a long time. It's unbelievable that it isn't a rule like it is in r/kotakuinaction.

“we’re entitled to go anywhere we want, at any time we want, and when people try to restrict that access, we feel like we’re the ones aggrieved.”

Uh yes. If you have the legal right to go somewhere, and somebody illegally stops you from going there, that’s like the textbook definition of the word “aggrieved”

[–]fengpi 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh, fuff, you and your piffling definitions. Words mean whatever the feminist says that they mean, like how "men" means "vile jackass."

[–]HotDealsInTexas 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Reminder: this is the guy whose work is often cited as an example of how much Feminism cares about men.

[–]fengpi 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Kimmel once wrote a powerful essay in which he argued that feminists are the only true friends of men, except that men are way too stupid and evil to ever realize it.

What a good friend!

It seems a legal principal is a legal principal unless it comes round and bites you.

[–]shit-zen-giggles 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Feminists use the term "Equality" in the Orwellian sense: Some animals are more equal than others.

[–]Consilio_et_Animis 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

“There are little wrinkles in gender inequality where it does appear that men are discriminated against".

LOL

To the privileged, consistency feels like entitlement.

[–]Kuramo 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let's forget that feminist asshole of Kimmel, there is a new guy on the MRM's heroes list and his name is Alfred Rava

[–]Splatriarchy 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Love how the title of the article is "Men Cry Discrimination..."

[–]jeff_the_nurse 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or we have consistency in accountability...

[–]JStheHammer 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't understand why every attorney isn't doing this.

[–]MenDeserveRights 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a really stupid article, but Kimmel has written one good article at least.

[–]McGauth925 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's very simple: men want to be treated equally with women. Screw the bullshit of special treatment to make up for millennia of oppression; that's an excuse to punish all men and privilege all women, somehow in the name of equality. Keep it up and more of us go MGTOW, which means women fend entirely for themselves and forego quite a lot of special treatment.

Michael Kimmel has turned his field into a joke. His lifes work is to be yes man for feminist bigotry, and because he is a man in that field, he is forced to adhere to the most repulsive possible interpretations of feminist doctrine or risk ostracization. Sympathy for men and their plight is not tolerated from professional male feminists to any degree.

He is a waste of ink, a blight to his chosen field, and a detriment to the species.

He has had a negative impact on society and humanity, and that is the total of his contribution. I can find nothing to suggest he has had a positive impact on any person. The world would have been better were he never born, or died early. His work is proof of concept that the notion of a feminist mens movement is a contradiction in terms. He is an apologist for misandry and that apologism is used as evidence misandrists care about men.

[–]ThatDamnedImp 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Liberals think that only other people should have to follow the rules, and that laws only exist to protect their chosen groups.

The are just phonies and sophists.

[–]Arthas_Greyjoy-2 points 8 years ago* [recovered] (8 children) | Copy Link

Michael Kimmel? Isn't that the faggot in the red pill movie?

[–]T_Rash7 points 8 years ago [recovered] (7 children) | Copy Link

Your homosexual slur makes it look like you think gay men are not equal to heterosexuals.

[–]Arthas_Greyjoy-1 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

lol. that's not what i was even getting at, but who am i to disagree with professor charles X here?

[–]Lethn-2 points 8 years ago [recovered] (5 children) | Copy Link

faggot is used as a general insult towards insufferable people on the internet like you, it isn't meant as homophobia for most people no matter how you try to twist it.

[–]T_Rash3 points 8 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Justify your bigotry anyway you want.

[–]Lethn0 points 8 years ago [recovered] (2 children) | Copy Link

It's not bigotry, now fuck off.

[–]T_Rash0 points 8 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

You are the Internet tough guy that came at me. Give your mom her laptop back and grow up.

[–]Lethn1 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Got a desktop actually, nice try :P And that's rich coming from you.

[–]mikesteane 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

While I don't care about this argument, the origin of the word faggot can be found on page 96 of "The Myth of Male Power": "Men who were Quakers - who refused to sacrifice themselves in war - were burned at the stake. As were homosexual men. A 'faggot' was literally a bunch of sticks that people tossed into the fire; it was less literally a heretic that people burned at the stake. Often that 'heretic' was a homosexual."
