WASHINGTON / December 17, 2020 – A recent national survey conducted by YouGov reveals 8% of Americans report being falsely accused of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, or other forms of abuse. The 2,407 survey respondents were representative of the U.S. adult population. The 8% figure represents 20.4 million adults.
In 62% of cases, the false accusers were reported to be females. Often, the false allegation was made in the context of a child custody dispute — 27% of cases.

Wait, this says that 38% of false accusers were men. Which things can men accuse women of, much less make a false accusation of?

It should be punished with twice the amount of time you'd get had the falsely accused person been convicted. If you merely give them the same amount of time out if 20 million someone would get away with it. If you use the judicial system to violate someone you're like someone who hires a hitman to kill a person, you don't even have the balls to do it yourself and the result is the same.

When I caught my wife cheating with her co-worker, I left and asked for 50/50 with my kids. Within 2 months, she accused me of a historical false rape allegation, without any proof.

That one false allegation was all it took for me to lose my kids, pay her child support money, and go through the courts for 3 years proving my innocence.

False rape accusations ARE real and they happen. 90% of rape accusations are actually made by wives or girlfriends for revenge.

99% of false accusation cases I've seen have been female on male. I've seen like 5 that were male on male, and 1 or 2 that were female on female. Not only do I have yet to see a case of a male falsely accusing a female, but also have yet to see a case of a male actually succeeding in ruining a female's life with a false accusation.

Especially since males can't weaponize things like rape, sexual assault/harassment, domestic violence, etc, like females can, since male victims, whether they're actually victims or not, aren't taken seriously like female victims.

False accusations are almost exclusively a female on male crime. I have a hard time believing these numbers are true. And if they are actually true, I bet almost all of those 38% of male false accusers were either:

Falsely accusing another male, since while male on male abuse isn't taken seriously, female on male abuse is taken even less seriously.
Almost never taken seriously, unlike almost all of those 62% of female false accusers who were actually taken seriously, due to male on female abuse actually being taken seriously.

I agree with this. My only concern comes in when I consider scenarios where the accuser actually was raped but can’t prove it happened. Would there need to be significant evidence that suggests the accuser is lying? Or would we prosecute them for simply not being able to prove a rape happened? I’ve always wondered about this.

I didn't read the article, but keep in mind that some of these might not be falsified. There may have genuinely been a rape and the wrong person was apprehended. There is a difference between a malicious false accusation and a genuine mistake. Same goes for any and all crimes.

Yeah this is a shit study to make a statement that 20 million men are falsely accused. Not only are they asking people if they were falsely accused, they dont ask if people were rightly convicted. They also ask people to comment if people they know were falsely accused. This is just complete trash. The people who produced this study should be ashamed of themselves. It just pure trash,

A survey 💀💀 not even an actual study. Shut the fuck up. Actual rape gets taken to court LESS THAN THREE (3 %) percent of the time and ends in an actual conviction even less than that.
Rarely is a man even held accountable for rape, and you’re worried about false accusations when that is also EXTREMELY low compared to how often women report rape.

You know... people already prosecute false accusations the same way they prosecute the accused to begin with...

If the evidence is there and can meet "beyond reasonable doubt" for aggravated charges of perjury or malicious filing a false report then criminal charges are brought... And can carry prison sentences.

What people clearly don't like here is that accusations can be made... But like it or not you need to prove that false accusations are false before conviction the same way you have to prove an accusation is true before a conviction.

So please stop with the BS claims that there is a double standard. Because there isn't.
