Yes we should be worried, it's promoting unhealthy habits. Screaming should not be a way you deal with things. Especially not anywhere near people.

Screaming is a response to bad things as it is happening, why would you want to take your mind back to that in such a way that stimulates all the negative feelings surround said events? I feel like this has the opposite effect more than anything, most of the time mental healing is being able to look at something and accept it and then move on. Not scream and bring it all back up? Why is it seen as spiritual?

We are looking at someone who knows how to make money off feminism. This is the sequel to those self defense sticks and keychains (after they didn't work probably).

Funny thing: In march, feminists held a "feminist fun park" (it was literally called like this) event in germany, which was just a big compilation of rage rituals in the center of a city. It gave a good image what feminism is mostly about nowadays.

This is pretty much my thoughts on it. If it's a way to release pent up anger, then go for it. If it's being used to whip up a frenzy to then go do violent criminal acts, well then that's obviously a big problem.

This is concerning. To me, the emotion of anger is part of your brain trying to get your attention that prompt action might be required. If someone taunts me, I'll probably feel some anger which is telling me I need to quickly figure out if there's a possibility of them following up with harming me and I need to take steps to prevent that, or I should just brush it off and find a way to calm down. "Embodying my anger" could very well just make things worse for both of us. For example, I respond with an insult, they push me, I push back harder, they throw a punch, I punch back, they pull out a knife, I pull out mine (I don't carry one, but let's say I did). One of us bleeds out in the alley and the "winner" dies in the hospital.

edit: Anger can also be a good thing in many cases. For example, getting angry at sexism against men and then working to try to change things to fix that. Or a common story is a teen being told they'll never amount to much and then they channel the anger from that to prove them wrong.

We are taught from an early age to control ourselves, not to indulge in immature behavior. Screaming and shouting is what babies do. Why? It's all they are capable of doing when they are upset. As we grow and mature, we learn to keep ourselves in check and thus society is built.

Men have been doing things like this for awhile. The violence isn't the main focus. If you've ever gone on a men's retreat or men's group outing it's pretty common while working through their shit men might rage, yell, punch, kick usually followed by a complete emotional dump. It's not that they are normalizing aggressive behavior as more to provide a 'safe space' for men to work through their shit.

I had seen something like this earlier.

A rage room (see link) is where people can vent their frustrations by breaking things in a room.

Now, am I the only one who is really feeling uncomfortable and scared at the fact that society promotes this form of anger and hatred, which to me heavily seems to be directed towards men, by viewing it as something progressive and empowering?

I think just using the word rage means things have gone out of control. Rage is the terrible cousin of anger.

And, although, anger is healthy in the right doses and for the right reasons, rage is extremely dangerous and unstable.

I’m not sure on the one hand is it training people to react violently towards being made angry. On the other hand is it letting off steam?

There are lots of existing ways to let off steam and aggression though - weights, cardio, boxing or other contact sports.

I think this concept unsettles men as from birth we are taught about the need to control our anger and physical responses.

If men didn’t keep a strong control over anger responses we would soon end up in jail.

To be fair, most women have little experience utilizing their aggression. Even non-aggressive men know HOW to be aggressive if they need to.

Women by contrast tend to feel helpless, and their rage gets bottled up and channeled into weird directions. So this might actually be good for women in some ways...

I find “Rage ritual” thing rather comically unnecessary. If you want to vent so much, join a boxing or MMA gym. Take it out on a bag, sweat it out in a spar and get fit as a bonus with a side of discipline and self-control.
